My Review of Digimon Season 3.

This is the first time I'm reviewing something other than a video game.

Digimon is one of the best cartoons that Fox Kids had besides Flint the time detective and Mon Collie Knights-I always wonder whatever happened to them, I think Flint the Time detective got replaced by either Galidor (Which was so dumb and made absolutley no sense unless you watch every episode, They really should have Kept that) or the Ripping Friends (Better than Galidor, but not nearly as good as Digimon). A lot of 5 year olds noticed a simularity between Pokemon and Digimon, sure they both stand for "Something-monsters", but truly, Digimon and Pokemon were practically 2 different shows, Digimon had a LOT of plotline, but little jokes, Pokemon has hardly ANY plotline (Except for the movies) and ALOT of jokes (Um...I guess it was pretty funny in the first season, but it got boring when they replaced Tracy with Brock again.) While we're off topic, let's forget about Digimon Vs. Pokemon and get to the review.

Digimon Season 3 showed alot of potential, because the 2 seasons before it kicked ass, so you can bet that if the first 2 seasons were that good, maybe the third one would be the best? That's what a lot of people thought, but I think Season 3 is the worst. The writers wrote out a lot of the jokes (There are some occasionally, like Guilomon's bread obsession, Jeri's Sock puppet, most of what Kazu and Kenta say or do, and the jokes that Henry and Terriermon crack during battle.) and roughly 94% of the season is storyline. It doesn't make sense in the beginning, what with Calumon and all, and the fact that it's about Digimon Fans, though you could have expected that it would have taken place in the Aftermath of season 2, but then again, It's not really what some people expected. It is a little annoying in the first couple episodes, what with Rika's Stuck-up-attitude and all. (A lot of Digimon fans I knew thought she was the most annoying character in Digimon, period) Sure Rika changes around the time the Devas show up (Around where the plot thickens) and one thing that you do gotta admit is that the storyline gets very interesting around the time when they decide to go to the digiworld. They did throw a lot of unexpected things at you, from Leomon's death (LEEEEOOOMMMOOONN!!!!!) to when Marineangemon popped out of Kenta's pocket. Unlike the first 2 seasons, Season 3 was alot more better at secrets, like that 8th child Saga in Season 1 where they show the Digivice under Kari's bed or when Yolei blurts out the mysteriuos woman in Digimon Season 2's name during the "last episode flashback" at the start of every episode. In Season 3, when Jeri starts acting funny after her puppet acts weird, they didn't just blurt out that the real Jeri was inside the D-Reaper, no, they didn't even tell us where the real Jeri was until they showed her inside the D-Reaper, if it was either season 1 or 2, they would have shown her inside the D-reaper or blurted out what happened to her in some previous episode.

Overall, Digimon Season 3 was kinda good, though the first 2 seasons were way better. Digimon Season 4 is out now, but for me it's on at like 5:30 AM on some channel I don't even get.

^Duh, of course it is. The only time I'd ever be able to watch it is if I fall out of bed at like 5 AM (That actually happens more than you think you know)
