Xenogears is a pretty hard to find Playstation game. Sure, it may be because it was squaresoft, which created the highly overrated Final Fantasy 7. (Insert "Ick" grinnie here) But then again, square DID create the highly underrated Final fantasy 6 (It actually is underrated, but druing the SNES days it was not) So, a Science Fiction game. I wanted to check it out, but buying it was a big mistake, especially the way they charged $39.99 for it because it was a best seller. Best seller my arse anonymous gamestore who's name I will not mention!

The Graphics are one thing, sure the movements are fluid, but that's just about it. The Cutscenes are very boring. I don't need to say anymore, except the characters are PREPOSTEROUS, even for an early playstation game like this and FF7 (Which had some pretty bad character models when not in FMV or battle, like the way they lack mouths). EYUCK!!

The storyline is alot like Calvinball-it's made up as the game goes along. Sure it starts and ends pretty interesting (Like almost every Calvinball game where Calvin and Hobbes end up in some giant battle), but if the storyline were as well thought up as it was in Final Fantasy 6, 8, or 9, then it'd be worth writing in a book and it'd probably be a best seller, like the Calivin and Hobbes books are, which is a much better buy (And even if there was a Video game based on Calvin and hobbes it'd probably be better than this game)

The Gameplay is...Well let's put it this way, it'll cause an unhealthy amount of stress. Not only will you get stuck or scream more than once while playing this game, but the gameplay is so horrible, you'll just want to throw the game away (Or sell it on eBay to make a fortune from some people who think this game is gold) and disinfect your playstation and controllers and your memory card.

Overall, this is the worst game that square has ever made, and the one thing I have to say about this game: Buy it, do not play it (Unless you're looking forward to disinfecting your game room), sell it on eBay and you'll make a fortune off of those people who think this game is gold, I will personally go for FF7, it may be the most overrated game of all time, but it is at least a much better way to spend your time and a much better buy. Hell, even PHANTASY STAR III IS A MUCH BETTER BUY THAN THIS GAME!!1/10

P.S Oooh am I gonna get flamed for this...

P.P.S I sold my copy of Xenogears, and a person paid 55 dollars for it, So I did end up getting my money back.

FF7 is highly overrated, but i fail to see how FF6 is underrated.

I heard it was really short and can be completed in half the time it would take to complete a FF game.true?

^^I probably should have said "overlooked", because FF6 was the best FF until FF7 came out and everyone almost completley forgot about FF6 until Final Fantasy Anthology came out, and then when Final Fantasy Anthology became very hard to find, everyone wanted to get Final fantasy chronicles (It has Chrono trigger, which is why It's so damn hard to find)

^The game was too short, yes I'll agree with you on that.
