A Gameboy color game. At the end of 2002. Not the best time to release a GBC game, since most people shelved their GBCs for their GBAs (Even though it can play GBC games, some people wouldn't bother because of how annoying the stretched-out-screen is sometimes). And one otehr thing...It was based on a movie. Most games based on movies usually suck *Cough*Fellowship of the rings!*Cough* though some of them are very great, like Aladdin (Note: Aladdin truly is good)

The backgrounds this game features are truly awsome. They really test the limits of the GBC. They make you feel like you are going up a staircase or casting a spell on some enemies. Though the Characters...They're not so great. Harry Potter has improved the most-His glasses aren't the same colour of his flesh this time. And out of all of the character models, only Harry Potter and Lockheart look any better. (Lockheart's just plain funny, especially the way he's got that stupid smile on his face even when you're beating the living snot out of him) Most of the character models have really badly done eyes or are clones of others. The ghosts are next to impossible to see and Hermione seems to be having a really bad hair day. Though one thing you do gotta admit is that the motions are lifelike-From Tripping in Gringotts to drinking a potion.

The music's pretty good. Okay, so it's not very good at some parts, but if it weren't for that cool boss music or the sounds, then I'd only give it a 5/10. The boss music is ear candy, so you should really hear it. It's alot better than that crappy "doo doo dooo dooooo" boss music in the GBA version (And do not get the GBA version.)

The game is too easy until Aragog. First off, you hardly need to do any leveling up but near the end, Aragog's next to impossible to beat and I will not blame you at ALL if you have ANY trouble with Aragog or the Basalisk (And Fawkes helps HOW?). Yeah, if you read the book or saw the movie, then you should know what to do.

Overall, it's one of the world's greatest mysteries how the GBC Harry Potter games be so good yet the GBA versions be so crappy. The game may be too easy, but it is very fun-And it does suffer alot of major flaws, great backgrounds spoiled by stupid character models, way too easy until the end, and the biggest flaw is its release date. The end of November 2002-They couldn't have picked a worse time to release a GBC game. I hope that they make the future GBA games (If there will be any) like this. 8.85/10
