| Guest Posts: n/a | Hey, i'm bored. Let me do a review. Mario Kart: Double Dash. It is one of the most anticipated games out there. After Mario Kart 64, we get this. (Mario Kart: Super Circuit was for GBA) Now let me start with my infamous reviewing. Graphics: Happy, cheery, its what you see in a traditional Mario game. It is pretty nice looking. Not Nintendo's best job, but its pretty nice however. 9/10 Sound: Good upbeat tunes and nice sound effects. The music is cheery and happy.. But it does get repetitive later on. Now, the sound effects is like the music, REPETITIVE. But that was like Mario Kart 64, right? 7/10 Gameplay: This is one of the pros of this game. The gameplay is smooth and easy to control. Even a 5 year old can do it. The switching system is pretty unique. You will be impressed by the gameplay. 10/10 AI: Ok, here is the biggest problem with Mario Kart: Double Dash. The AI is annoying. Like for example, you are 5 seconds ahead and SOMEHOW the AI catches up to you. But some say this is a Mario Kart tradition. I tend to disagree. Flying Blue Shells come out of nowhere, Green Shells hit you like a Red Shell, and cheating AI. This is one of the reasons I hated Mario Kart: Double Dash. 3/10 The Tracks: Well, what do you expect? There are some unique tracks like Mushroom City. And some not-so unique tracks like Baby Park (Which is a Oval Track like those NASCAR tracks). My personal favorite track is DK Mountain, where you get launched into a mountain and ride down the slope. And obviously there are secret tracks as well. 9/10 Pros: Good Gameplay Nice Graphics The Switching System Cons: The Broken AI "Baby Park" Overused Sound Effects Overall: Its a good game with some flaws here and there. If you are a Mario Kart fan, I suggest you buy it. Its fun while it lasts. Overall Score: 7/10 |

| Guest Posts: n/a | Only played it at a friend's house. You are so right-The AI sucks. One second they're like 100 feet behind you, the next they're 1,000 feet in front of you. And it's NOT a mario kart tradition. The AI in the SNES and N64 versions aren't that cheap (With the exception of sometimes in the N64 version, such as when I knock Mario off, he just swerves back on the track on THIN AIR!!) In the GBA version, some are just stupid. |

| Guest Posts: n/a | Mario Kart for the SNES WAS cheap.. and I was good at the damn game. I'd be kicking some major ass, and some jerk comes hopping in from the side.. mind you, by this point in time I'd lapped 3rd place.. and it's saying 2nd is still right behind me. Right. Also, the Mario and Luigi computers having the star ability was THE cheapest thing ever. MK: DD COMPLAINTS: You can't hop anymore. That's kind of stupid. It's been in all of the previous games, and now it's just not there. The battlemode.. sucks. No big levels, it doesn't last very long at all. Should have been online capable. I would have bought the game. Just because someone's a tiny bit heavier than I am doesn't mean they should be able to plow right through me. I hate that Mickey Mouse voice they gave to Mario way back in SM64, and it's been getting worse. Also, Luigi should have his own voice.. now he talks like Mario. Waluigi is STILL lame. Daisy and Peach just generally aren't welcome. It was a cheap trick to start using Baby Mario and Luigi, along with 'Bowser Junior' in this game. Birdo is most definitely NOT a girl... they made that clear when HE first appeared. Stop trying to change it to better appeal to children's parents. There's more, but I'm tired and I need sleep so my brain won't let me remember more. |

| Guest Posts: n/a | Baby Park is awesome. It's total chaos because all the Green shells and Bowser shells stay within the vicinity of the track and cant go shooting off the level cause of the walls. Also you can shoot things acrss the other side of the oval through the middle to hit people back there. |
