EDIT -- and if I recall, they're both different genres. Zelda being an action-RPG and GTA being... God knows what. [ December 09, 2004, 09:04 PM: Message edited by: Erdawn Il Duce ] |

I wouldn't know. -------------------------------------------------------------- Quote of the week: “A day without denial is a day you have to face.” – Calvin & Hobbes ![]() Pointless fact of the week: Your brain is more active while sleeping than while watching television. |

Additionally, there are some things in the 3D GTAs (e.g. sprinting and push-button jumping) that aren't in the 3D Zeldas. There are some similarities, however--for instance, both series feature lock-on modes, first-person aiming, and strafing during combat. In terms of the style of play, there are obvious differences. I mean, as I see it, the goal in GTA is to survive, whereas in Zelda the goal is to win. People die a lot more easily in GTA than in Zelda; a few bullets will take out just about anybody, whether it's the main character or the bad guy, so a large part of the challenge is in avoiding damage. On the flipside, characters in Zelda are a lot harder to kill, so the focus is less on avoiding damage and more on doling it out in abundance. __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president |
