| Guest Posts: n/a | Offense, I never really found much use for defending in Rpgs other to reduce hits and miss out on a chance to attack. Unless there's good defensive stuff like spells or defensive strategies. |

| Guest Posts: n/a | Completely depends on the game. Oftentimes the best offense is a good defense, with counterattacking and such. |

| Guest Posts: n/a | well, in the start of games, i start of on a defensive side, but as i progress, and get moves like Deathblow (FFVII) i'll be upside down for defence.. hah hah, all you need its a healer, and you should be fine. Neko^^ |

Seriously, if you just go all out, you'll usually get yourself rather beat up; you'll need some strategy and backup. If you do win by simply selecting 'Attack' or 'Ultima' everytime, it's not really all that fun anymore. |

| Guest Posts: n/a | Well, I like defense and speed. Then you won't DIE as fast. In FFT, in the battle against Velius, 'Scream' is CRITICAL! It's better to just take whacks at the enemy and not die, than to get a HUGE portion whacked off after you hit. Right? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote:

| Guest Posts: n/a | ^ not really, i didn't buy scream or use it. I used a summoner with bahamut, a lancer, mustadio as a chemist, Agrias, and a ninja. everyone had autopotion. |

| Guest Posts: n/a | All out offense with good def/healing tactics, and some magic stuffs occasionally too. Although that goes against my personal opinion in real life, that a good defense is the best offense, although in the two towers the defense crumbled, but that dont go against my philosophy, they just sucked. |

| Guest Posts: n/a | Queklain was the first zodiac guy right? he was way too easy. 6 on 1 is barely a fair fight. Velius was defintely harder, but like any boss in the game, all it takes is to level up a few times. I know what scream does, i did buy it, but not till later. Celia and lede were annoying. they're easier as ultima beasts than assassins, but i concentrated on Elmdoor, not attacking them(i didn't want to get close since they can kill your guy without any chance to block it. |

| Guest Posts: n/a | Totally depends on game and boss, for tabletop I lean towards armor more than weapons, if only because it gives you a good probablity of their attack missing. That, and defence ain't a normal stat, and you don't get stats from leveling Rpg, I vote for balance. In FF6, a highly defencive mage with vanish and doom. |
