Ugliest Square characters?

Fortunately, this problem was rectified come FFTA2.

This one wasn't.

Same person who loves to paint final fantasy heroes with white hair and blue or purple lipstick if I recall. (Although s/he may have been designed by someone else)

Amano didn't actually design the characters from FF9, if I recall, though most of the official art is either CG or his stuff so it's easy to get confused.

I didn't know that...well that kind of explains why Zidane's blonde and isn't painted the same way Amano liked to draw the heroes. (Or maybe he decided to depart from that style a little...when did he do the Illustrations for the Sandman thing?)

The hell do you mean? Celes, Edgar, and Sabin are all blonde, and that's just from one game.

And I dunno if you've noticed, but you're Cave of Narshe photo no-worky.

I have to say, Yuna is actually very pretty in the first game. And it's not like she's less pretty in the second, she's just more slutty.

Yeah, Rikku isn't necessarily ugly, but her personality is. Oh well.

Yeah, based on what I've seen, none of the FFX girls has a likable personality. Maybe it's a storytelling device, or maybe its just a custom that Japanese RPGs have characters you hate.

I actually consider Terra and Locke to be the heroes of Final Fantasy VI more, but that's just me...Then again they can be interpreted to be the heroes as well, that's the interesting thing about VI.
