Somehow, my mom got me a copy, so I' playing it. I'm already seeing references to FFTA, which will follow in spoiler tags. There's a picture of Ritz on the main character's desk, when you select your goals for the summer. Then, the librarian's name is Mr. Randell, and he has a teddy bear on his desk. Interesting stuff. So, yeah. I'm hoping Luso is as cool as a character as the past Tactics dudes were. P.S: If Balthier appears, I'll tell you guys, because you guys like him a lot. ![]() |

I played the one for the GBA to death, so it looks like I'll grab the new one and avoid the real world for a while longer. |

The universe in FFTA is sort of created from that in FFT (Ivalice), something which becomes a plot point in FFTA. In any case, the story is very thematically different - FTTA is a more light-hearted tale, with moogles and everything. I'm still getting used to the different interfaces and stuff. Music is really good at times. Job Spoilers ahead I did a quest, and at the end, it unlocked a new job: the green mage for Vieras. Also, looking at some item descriptions, I cam see jobs I've never heard of before, like "Ravager". Also, if you have FFTA, put it in the GBA slot when you start a file. ![]() Last edited by X-3; 06-25-2008 at 03:27 PM. |

Only, { is replaced with [. Also, you know how in FFTA, attacking in front would lessen your chances of hitting? That whole thing has been changed, so if in front, you do less damage than you would if you hit the back. Also also, EXP is given at the end of a battle, rather than random bits during it. Much better now, IMO. |

Green Mage(Viera): Beat the quest, "Green Dominion". Beastmaster(No Mou): Beat the quest, "Knowing the Beast". Dragoon(Bagnaa): Beat the quest, "Kyrra, Dragoon". I'll only be doing those gotten through quests. I think others are unlockable by getting skills of some jobs. Last edited by X-3; 06-25-2008 at 07:03 PM. |

The law system isn't so terrible anymore, and the Bazaar system is actually pretty fun, for example. On a side note, I think the bagnaas have lost the "ssssss" thing in their speech. Weird. |

Ritz, Marche, and Mewt were somewhat personable from the outset, but this Luso guy is a jerk and Cid looks like a moron. Still love the gameplay though. I loves getting treasure and scoring me some AP. |

Game is really good. The side missions is where it shines. Main story is meh at best. The script is very humorous at times. I'd say more, but typing on this Blackberry is hard, and I don't think I can use the things neccesary for spoiler tags... If you liked the previous Tactics games, get this one. |
