If it has updated stuff and new content, I'll buy it. I bought Pokemon Leaf Green, Shining Force; Resurrection of Dark Dragon, all the horrid SNES-era RPG ports on PSX, the GBA FF re-releases, and FF4 DS. So naturally I'll be picking up CTDS next month. Here's what we know so far; -New script. This includes renaming things such as the Dark Ages (Antiquity) and removing Frog's Olde Englishe Waye ofe Speaking... e. -Monster Colosseum. You can train and battle Poke- er... monsters against the computer and over Wifi. New items and prizes await. -Another, harder boss. -The new Dimensional Distortion sidequest penned by the game's original writer. -A possible second bonus dungeon (Singing Mountain?). Check out all the action at Good morning, Crono! . |

The condition of me boycotting Square was that it didn't pay enough attention to the Chrono series (unlike Jay, whose condition was to make Chrono Break). I wish it would get an updated 3D look like FFIVDS (considering Chrono Trigger is probably the only game that truly deserves an updated 3D look), but if not, then so be it. I hope to God they don't get rid of Frog's accent. Frog is probably my favorite character from ANY video game, and his accent is part of what makes him him (in a twist of irony, Magus is my second favorite from any video game). I hope they'll let us into the North Palace this time around so we can get those elemental weapons (Zeality actually has a dump of what it would look like, but it doesn't look like anything resembling a cool dungeon). -CSM |

There's a dump of the North Palace? I haven't seen that. And yeah, Frog's accent is pretty much confirmed to be gone. Check his movie on the website. Instead of "Lower thine guard and thou art letting the enemy in!" he says "Lowering your guard lets enemies in!" |

I can understand that they would take out Locke's line of "He'll slit your momma's throat for a nickel!" line out of the FFVI remake, but what harm is there to take out Frog's accent? Yay for destroying part of his character. The other features you listed sound cool though at least. I'll have to look at that website sometime and see what else is in this remake. |

Frog's accent is an institution. You don't retcon institutions. Both Square and Nintendo have committed these travesties in the past. -CSM | |
