Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia

You gain levels, so I'm counting this as an RPG.
What do you guys think? I love the glyph system. It's a great new spin. And this game is HARD. Definitely one the of hardest Castlevanias I've played. I can't think of any boss I've taken out on the first try. I'm currently on Dracula (not really a spoiler, is it? I mean, it's a Castlevania game...) and he's kicking my butt.

So you think it's worth getting?

What Castlevania would you compare it to?

I loved Dawn of Sorrow the most, personally.

I've barely touched the older ones, but they seem kind of bland only from what I've seen. I love customization and my first Castlevania was Dawn of Sorrow, so it influenced me to the series.

Well, I played Portrait of Ruin, but not Dawn of Sorrows. It's comparable to the Metroid-vanias, but I think people have compared the Glyph system to Soma's power, whatever that was. It's definitely enjoyable. I'd recommend it. It's the most fun Ive had since SotN.
