Final Fantasy XIV Alpha Gameplay

Final Fantasy XIV is an upcoming game in the Final Fantasy series from Square Enix. Like FFXI, this game will be an MMO. Looks fairly interesting... too bad I'm not really into MMOs, though.

^ They've still got FFXIII coming, which'll be a traditional Final Fantasy RPG.

FFXIII looks scary to me (from what I heard the KH and FFX-2 teams will be doing it) and FFXIV is an MMO and I'm not wasting money or time that could be spent doing free activities on an MMO. -CSM

^^The neverending hatred for Kingdom Hearts on this forum never fails to amaze me. As retarded as the character design was, it was a really solid game in terms of gameplay and I still enjoy playing those games just for that very reason. If FFXIII can do a battle system that I enjoy half as much as I did KH's it'll be alright by me.

^^I agree. KH was a solid game. I would play it with the sound off so I don't have to deal with choppy voice acting scenes. And I would assume the same about FFXIII. The main issue here for me is that I don't trust Sony anymore with reliability because I had two PS2s and both broke within five years of buying each one.

Versus XIII has actually been praised so far. Ironically it's the first final fantasy game Nomura has actually had anything to do with further than art.
