To your west, a squire is leaning against the wall. He abruptly stopped his whistling when he heard your approach and is now looking at you, a bit embarrassed. To your east, there is a curving hallway which apparently takes up the center of the level, probably going all the way around the stairwell. The doors to the cells are situated along the hallway. The northwest part of the floor is open space, but everything else you can see has the hallway/cell design. There is a key rack on the northwest part of the wall, in plain view of the guard. Do what? |

Here's a crappy diagram. </font><blockquote>code:</font><hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;"> ___ k | \ / |/ \ |Q-O--|</pre>
There's what you can see so far (it's the northern half). The northwestern part, as you can see, is open. The Q represents the squire on guard (he's leaning against a wall). The k represents the keys (on the wall). The O is the central stairwell. Now, imagine that the space between the O and the characters immediately surrounding it is a circular hallway. Do you see now? Sorry, it's kind of hard to describe. |

You're not really supposed to be down here, unless you're relieving me, and it's a little early for that... did Carder catch sick or something? |

Presumably it's the only one with wards. It makes up the southeastern section of the floor. You have the stairwell in between you and the guard. There are four prisoners within. They glance up at you, but don't show any real signs of interest. Do what? |

Lemme just give you the layout of the whole level. </font><blockquote>code:</font><hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;"> ___ k | \ / |/ \ |Q-O--| \ /|P / \_|_/ </pre>
Guard and keys are in the same place, the prisoners are represented by P (of course there are four, but I couldn't fit them in, heh). You're standing at about the P, but separated from the prisoners by the cell door. The guard can't see you. By the way, there's also the slight problem of getting into the cell... the door is locked, after all. What do you want to do? [ September 14, 2005, 05:13 PM: Message edited by: Prince Toad ] |

Then I look at the door and down at the lock. "hm...Let's see how much it takes to crack this..." I pull out my Theives' Kit and pulls out the tools for taking out the picking locks. "Time to get cracking." I say as I begin to pick the lock. |

One of the prisoners, a woman, approaches the door. She whispers very softly-- it's barely audible, but you make it out. Woman: Who are you? What are you doing? Are you a friend, then? |

It takes you a bit, but you manage to pry open the lock. Woman: You know, those doors are pretty loud... you'll have to be really careful opening them so the guard doesn't come and ask what's wrong... I guess you don't have anything to oil it, though. It takes me about a minute to set up the teleportation-- I'm Mossi, if you weren't sure-- so if you can keep us safe for that long, I oughta be able to set it up and get us all out of here. What's the plan? |

I wondered why this section felt so heavy. he pulls looks at it. that's more than enough. Celen moves over to the hinges and pours the oil on them to reduce the sound that the door will make. once he is positive that it will not make much noise, Celen opens the door. |

Also, if I was, remember that this is a controlled RPG, not a free-play. You can't randomly decide that you have some oil unless you buy/find it. Guess it doesn't matter now. Maybe I'll post a new topic soon. |
