You walk past the cat; it completely ignoring you as it attempts to swat a butterfly out of the air. Entering the town of Galan you look around, spotting over a dozen people walking around and many buildings and shops. There are 4 women talking to eachother, a few men walking about, an old man sitting besides a house, 3 kids playing, a girl who looks somewhat worried, and a young man and women talking to eachother. The buildings are all mostly houses, with the rest being shops. You spot an item shop, a blacksmith, and about 3 others, though you can't tell what they are exactly.

I'll check all the shops in town, and request where Malav is until I find him.

You enter the first shop you see, asking if they know Malav at all. They tell you he works in the item shop, so you leave and head there. Malav looks at you as you enter.

"I'm sorry, but we're not open right now..." He says, noticing your badge. "Oh wait, are you here for the mission I sent out?"

You nod your head and say that you are.

"Alright then, well... I got robbed about 3 days ago. All I know is it was two pretty rough looking men, pretty strong looking. When I asked the people in town they said they went out west, but not much else. I would ask the people again for more information though."

Although he had wanted to be known for his valiant deeds, Narcier decided to get what he can from this man. After all, who's to judge him for taking the simplest path to becoming a hero?"

"On my way here I was encountered by various foes. In the midst of my battle, I have been inflicted with a poisoning effect. I would ask if you perhaps can help bring me back to my top-fighting state to assure those thieves do not get away once more."

"Oh, well... I don't really have anything here really, but there's a doctor in the town. He's probably got a few potions for sale. Maybe this will be enough to get a potion or something to help you out."

He hands you 30gp.

"Rest assured, I will catch those thieves"

Narcier walked out of the shop and proceeded to the Doctor's shop. He walked in and approached the man rather abruptly.

"I have been injured doctor, are you willing to help me?"

He looks at you for a second. "You don't look too badly injured, what do you need exactly?"

He made a deep sigh and continued, "I'm injured. How much is it going to be to get me to my top shape?"

The doctor sighs and turns around. He grabs some herbs and mixes them into a potion. "...Well, this should cover injures and fatigue. It works gradually though, so I'd try and keep away from doing a lot of work while its in effect. It will cost 50gp. Okay?"

Regen Elixer - Restores 5HP, EP, and MP a turn for a few turns.

Narcier drank the potion and began to investigate the town of the thieves' last whereabouts.

You leave the doctor's office and begin to talk to people around town, starting with some of the men walking around town.

Man 1 - "The thieves that robbed Malav? There were two of them, one was a bit bigger than the other; when I tried to stop them he knocked me down and they fled. I don't remember much else."

Man 2 - "Hmm? Oh right. Well, I hear they went west, but I'm not too sure why. There's a small mountain range with a mine in it, and a lot of guys in town work there. If they tried to cross they'd probably be found already."

Hmm, I'll try to gather more information on the mine. Such as how many people work on it, how many live there, how many are there at night, etc.

You ask around about the mines.

Woman 1: Well, the mine is pretty small scale so far, and not much of value has been found there yet. Pretty much only the men in town work it, so I'd say only about a dozen men.

Woman 2: Well, there's a small building by the mines, but I think its mostly where they keep their equipment and such. Only the owner of the mines lives there if anyone does.

Man: At night? None really, it doesn't make much sense to keep mining late at night, especially when there isn't much found by there anyway.

Boy: The mines aren't much now, but hopefully they'll find something good. The mountains are big enough that something must be in them.

Alright, well I won't leave town until the regen potion brings me to full health. In addition, I think I should have 2 light potions since I used one last battle. If this is the case I'll buy one more light potion. I will also buy 2 light energy potions. Once I am healed I will set out towards the mines.

You can't really buy anything right now; only stuff thats in the shops around town.

You wait until you are fully healed from the potion; then head toward the mines. As you head out, you spot small patches of forest to either side of you and the mines ahead. The mines are located on a fairly large mountain, with smaller ones behind it. At its base is a small building, and there are two tunnels into it; one by the building and another slightly further up.

You climb up the mountains and enter the second tunnel. As far as you can see there isn't much around, though it looks like it goes deeper. Further in though it is almost pitch black, so you wouldn't really be able to see much.
