You leave the tunnel and head to the lower one. The mine seems more developed than the other, the tunnel going deeper than you can see. There are two men working, each carrying a pick-ax and a lantern.

I will cautiously be on my guard as I make small talk to them. I will check their physical features to see if they are the thieves I should be looking for.

Sorry for the wait.

You talk as you check them. After a while it becomes apparent that both of them are just miners. They talk about their job for a bit, and then one mentions he saw someone sneaking around the other night by the woods.

Sorry about the delay.

I'll ask for more details about the man he has seen and if he has seen another man. I will also ask if their builds are similar to the ones I have been informed about.

You continue questioning them; one responds the guy that he saw was kind of big, but that he didn't spot anyone else while he was working.

You wait outside around the mines until nightfall. Most of the men in the mines leave, heading back towards the town. Not much happens as you wait, though after a while you see two people heading towards eachother, one coming from the town, another from a patch of woods off to your left. Its too dark to tell much about them, but from the looks of it neither of them notice you at all as you watch from the mountain, hiding besides a large rock that was moved from the mine.

Narcier took a deep sigh as he attempted to analyze the two people in the distance.

"Hmm, those look like my suspects. Perhaps I can confirm it without confronting them though."

He decided to wait a few extra moments to observe the men's motives before proceeding to launch an offensive.

You really can't make out their appearances well, aside from the fact that one is larger than the other; fitting the description given by the people in town. They speak to eachother and then the smaller one takes something out and hands it to the other. They speak for a while, but not much else happens until you notice the smaller one heading back towards the town.

I will try to sneak up on the larger man and attempt to find out through questioning or take whatever item he has received.

You sneak up to him, though he notices you before you get close enough to take the item. He quickly hides what he was holding and then glares at you.

"Wha- Who the hell are you?" He asks, his voice rough and somewhat angry. He reaches for his side where a knife appears to be sheathed.

"Like hell I will!" He yells. He rushes towards you and slashes at you with his dagger, though you quickly manage to dodge.
