For those of you who don't know, the Mother series is the Japanese name for Earthbound. Itoi (the creator of the series) announced the release date himself. The game will be for GBA. So far, there is no official word for a North American release, but I am keeping my hopes up (and the good folks at SM.net will fight tooth and nail until it DOES get released). -CSM |

I don't view Earthbound as the game cartridge embodyment of all that is wrong and defiled with the world. That would be Metal Mech, with the GBC Lemmings as its faithful cohort. I may have a mild distaste for Earthbound, but there's about twenty other games I'd lob into a wood chipper before Earthbound. Harmony of Dissonance (eBay value plummeted after the release of the Castlevania 2-Pack. Not only did everyone get to play it, but they also got to experience how terrible it was), Lament of Innocence, Phantasy Star III, and Pikmin 2 just to name a few. ![]() Where are these lemmings going? (Well...Pikmin 2 at any rate...) ^^ This is gonna be a new level of awesome. o.o;; And I do hope they bring that game to the states. And yes, I just appeared out of nowhere to say that, and here I go, disappearing again. o.o *Poof!* |

| Marshmallow Knight ☆ Supermod | The perfect thing to release on Hitler's birthday. Okay, that was just me being a smart-alek. I actually think it's kind of cool a new Mother game is being released; you know, after 10+ years. I'm sure the small but rabid fanbase is celebrating. |

I usually don't like completely un-updated games released in America. Of all of Nintendo, Earthbound series was the only one to have absolutely no sequels OR continuations. Atleast to what I can think of right now. |
