Yu Yevon, the founder of Yevon, the religion. The whole game revolves around Yevon, in a way. Don't you remember Wakka saying "Praise be to Yevon" at numerous points during the game? I remember DeathEvan from Breath of Fire II even more. He was the god of the Evan religion (shortened to St. Eva), as well as the final boss, much the same as Yu Yevon was. The dragon who guarded Bevelle in FFX was named Evrae, and the capital city of St. Eva was called Evrai. This is one of the reasons I think FFX's story was a rip of Breath of Fires. I love FFX. The name similarities may come from the fact that Square was responsible for translating the first couple BoF's. I never really thought of FFX as a rip-off. I still don't. I think that they are both unique in they're own way. But thats just me. I don't wanta start a stupid arguement about what we think is a rip-off and what isn't. So let's just get back to the game: F- Fina, Final Fantasy Last edited by Ike; 06-29-2006 at 09:55 PM. |
