Best RPGs ever made?

It's always necessary to post topics like this every month or so. Anyway...

I'm still leaning towardes Phantasy Star 1. I still don't have the fourth one (What the Hell is wrong with me and buying new systems, anyway?), but I might get it for my birthday, which'd be cool. Paper Mario comes in second, and Chrono Trigger is third.

Cuz this is the best ones ever made, and while entertaining dot hack doesn't really count as the best ever. Then again you seem to be going overkill with your list.

Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6, Final Fantasy Tactics, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, thats all i can think of off the top of me head.

The .hack games are fun, but I wouldn't consider them to be one of the alltime greatest.

It was pretty witty when Cirvante did it. It's just sad when you keep using it. And possibly more annoying.

I mean, at least Cirvante played INFECTION and disliked it. You've played for 3 volumes and feel the need to call it greed//overpriced or what have you...yet you paid for the games. Rental or otherwise.

^It's true. Do you think I kept my copies of the Golden Sun games? They're not too good until you salt them, though.

Oh, and Douglas, Rattan has a point. Try not to use the same joke names for games over and over. Calling bad Final Fantasy/Phantasy Star games "Ectasy" is only funny the first time.
And Carter, don't be a jerk.

Anyway I'd also like to add the game Suikoden 2 to my list for brightening up the holiday early for me. Luca Blight is the best villian I have ever seen.

If that's so, then Crono Trigger, all the Fire Emblem games, FF6, and the Mario RPGs are made of fresh, imported succulent caviar. Earthbound is made of Top Sirloin Steak. Everything that is overrated is just made with lobster with the overratedness being the overloads of butter on it. Shining Force is made with Mcdonalds cheeseburgers with the cheese being a little moldy and the ketchup that is so good that makes people forget about Fire Emblem.

FF6 & FF7
Skies of Arcadia (Whoo!)
Kingdom Hearts
Super Mario RPG! (I love that gamer to death)
And Pokémon. Red and Blue, before it got all weird and crazy. I can't stand most of the new monsters. Mewtwo forever.
