And some battles are made to challenge you, but if you're smart enough, you can work it out without needlessly dying. |

Now if there was on fight in the whole game that I would WILLINGLY cheat it's Wrexsoul damn is that fight a pain in the ass. - You stupid dog! |

| Super Bodyguard & King of the Arcade | Sometimes I purposely make boss battles difficult, so that the game is more dramatic. Call it playing possum if you will. |

I KNEW that there was a treasure chest with a tomberry hiding insde it! I KNEW that the castle ruins was a good place to level up and learn spells. But a I forgot. That said tomberry was in a chest along the way to said castle! Gah! I lost three levels and roughly seven or eight spells! on of them being cure three! - You stupid dog! |

Or fire the ones they have. I noticed so many technical flaws in the development of FFT and many other FFs that could hardly be overlooked by anyone with any observational skills. SQUARE. STOP BEING LAZY. |

Gender: Posts: 8,477 Thanks: 91 Thanked 46 Times in 39 Posts | Untill you can craft something on the level of Crono Trigger, ALttP, or the Smash Bros games you really don't have a right to talk. given how much must be done to make a game in the given amount of time some bugs are bound to slip through the cracks. With crediblity of both you and myself throughly crushed into I fine powder I'm going to speculat on why Square has i's head so very far up its own ass. In part its the fans faul, myself in cluded (I can rember a time where I thought that just because a game was made by square that it was a guarnte of excilent quality.) there was a time when Square didn't have much if any sway in the industry, however after years of producing sevrel great titles, and developing a very loyle fanbase. This fanbase has been somewhat conditioned to expect high quality work from Square. Because of this the fans tended to ignore or even exploit the bugs in the games. With the fanbase of the company every growing and expanding, along with the fans tending to forgive a great number of Squares faults and snap up just about anything that Square has its name on all they have to focus on is making a game that plays fairly well and that sells. Given that Square has had over two decades to figure out how to make a that will sell by knowing what to focus on Namely that it looks pretty has a decent story and a good if exploitible combat system this allows them to fall into the old Capcom style for grinding out formulaic games. given that they have a lare over arching franchise in the FF games as a whole along with the KH, FFT, SAGA, and FFVII compilations to work with they have alot of IPs to milk for all its worth. On the issue of bugs, I can't think of a single game that doesn't have its fair share of bugs that got past any number of play testers and game disiners. While its true that Square is being somewhat lazy a large part of the blame falls on us fans for not calling them on it. while there is large number of fans who are no longer buying from Square because they are no longer satisfied with Square's work. However the larger issue is the massive amount of fans whole will buy a game simply because it has the name Square on the box. [/rant] - You stupid dog! |

I bought "The Bodygaurd" or whatever for PS2 and quickly learned otherwise. Also, given what I need, I am sure I could create an awesome and 99% glitch free game. Or at least let you skip cut scenes and give you a damn save spot. -_- |

Ah yes cut scenes they are ment to make videogames more cinimatic, though it really depends on how they are used. If used properly they really make the storyline work and can easly inspire geniune emotion from the player. Then we have the downsides like using them as infodumps before and after boss fights, and making them unskippible, so you better hope that you can beat the boss with no problem or ese you'll learn to have voice acting very quickly. All this rambling aside I don't outright hate cut scense they way they are used just tends to annoy me. I only played the orignal Demo of FFVIII/8 but if what I heard is corrent there is one point in the game that has a overly long cut scene where get this there is a save point visible in the background, and don't even get me started on the KH game cutscenes, Sora cabible of killing 1,000 heartless with relitive ease, well the cut scenes seem to paint a diffrent picture said picture being where the keyblade weilder needs help to fend himself off from roughly five to seven shadow heartless you know the roughly the KH equivilent of a goomba. Back on topic I'll probly end up getting the GBA version of FFIV/4 it's been a while sense I gave that a playthrough as well, hell I might even give FFV/5 another playthrough to see if it's anywhere near as bad as the rom I had all those years back. - You stpid dog! |

I mean, I know of the existence of the FF anime but I didn't know it was actually connected to the game. I'll be sure to play through 5 and then watch that show. |

Also while on that subject, am I the only one who wonders why the spell naming/ numbering system changed? It stared off with Fire, Ice, and Bolt. Then this was changed to Fire, Blizzard, and Thunder. the numbering change shifted from the simple Fire, firel2, and Fire3 to Fire, Fira, and Firaga et al. - You stupid dog! |
