The original was released on the NES 2&3 on SNES but then 7 Comes out on Playstation What Happened to 4,5&6?

I haven't played any FF games exept Mystic Quest.
I'm trying to find 2&3 and son, I'll never ever ever buy anything from Sony so I'll never play 7 and Up.

2 and 3 US = 4 and 6 JP

FF2, 3, and 5 JP never came out in America on the SNES or NES, so Square turned 6 into 3 and 4 into 2.

Those actually weren't FF games. They were titled FF in America because it would sell that way. (it was originally titled Makaitoushi SaGa.)

Okay, here you go.

FF1 released in america.

FF2 and 3 NOT released in America.

FF4 and 6 released in America, but renamed 2 and 3 to avoid confusion.

FF5 NOT released in America.(This is, of course, before 6 was released)

They decided to screw the "American Numbering System," and made 7...well, 7, which caused more confusion had they not changed 4 and 6.

None of these games are alctualy sequiles to the original Final Fantasy, so why number them to start with.

What makes FF mystic Quest difrent from the rest of them(that's the only one I'v played)
