Ah, but if RPG -> Adventure, then one can not say that Adventure -> RPG.

Don't mind me. I'm just stirring up trouble for no reason.

Although seriously. I grew up knowing that Zelda was Adventure, and I'll likely die that way. So don't mind me.-jay

Let's just leave our opinions to ourselves. We ARE supposed to be helping Rattan with his senior mastery project right? Jay thinks Zelda's an Adventure because it has adventure elements and I think it's an Adventure RPG because it combines adventure elements and RPG elements. I'm not going to say anything else.

But RPGs ARE adventures, and so are some platformers and shooters...

Nevermind.

You wouldn't be too far off calling Zelda an RPG. You wouldn't be too far off saying it's not an RPG. It does contain platformer elements.

What else do you want us to do, Rattan?

Nothin much else. I'll be talking to a few of you as sources. I'll be PMing a few of you based on opinions of your respective games. And some info on games I have no clue about. Like Fire Emblem and such.

I need 8 sources. 3 online. 5 can be anything else. I have 2 people from my guild for MMORPGs. So I need only 3 more to fulfill the needed resources.

Do you need real sources?

It's simple. I need to cite my sources in the written portion as well as the jounrals I write during the process. I say I utilized said sources to assist me on my project. Whats funny is that I can basically rent a game and play it, then use it as a source.

In this case I ask Douglas about Brave Fencer Musashi. And whoever about Fire Emblem and Ogre Battle. I can also incite a debate between Bolt and Jay and use that for both laughs and research. I take down their real names, cuz having Heroine of the Dragon, I HATE POKEMON, or Bolt Dragoon would look awfuly strange in the bibliography. I have to get started with what I do have before I get to you folks. So far I think I have

I would be obliged to help Rattan. Why don't you get on AIM sometime this week? I'm on vacation, so if I have some free free-time...

SCERW YUO TEH JAY!!!1111

Rattan, you could also use my RPG article at NGF as a source, whether you agree with it or not. Something written and published seems more concrete than forum-goers' word-of-mouth.

I kid. I got enough from you two on Chrono Trigger/Cross to last me a good hour from your last debate.

Question

Rattan, do you need Images for the Mastery project, such as Box covers, Title screens, or In-game screenshots?

I'm waiting for some people to get back to me on some games. Douglas with Musashi and Prince Toad with Fire Emblem.
