I'm gonna use FF:CC for one of my action titles. And for the picture i'm gonna use this comic from Penny Arcade:

Sorry folks who like the game. I need a "It could be great..but" title.

Don't worry i'll black off a few words.

Like I said before. Some kid can do a song on Tupac and play his music in full while doing it, I can do this or else it wont be fair.

Yes, but you see, everyone sees music differently than videogames. Besides, Tupac has some serious themes in his songs. Penny-arcade has some unnecessary crap sometimes.

BTW, who's to say that the Tupac kid will get a good grade?

So says the B+ he recieved for his project last semester. Now unless I can find another comic that points out the slight problems with CC other than this http://vgcats.com/vgc_comics/?strip_id=103 I'd like to use an edited for of Penny Arcade's comic.
I'd use that one except for the fact that i'd have to explain what a tater and some peas have to do with CC first. Then i'd have to figure out the last portion. Do you really need a new memory card for the game or something?

He looped the Tupac song where he said he did BIG's wife for the entire presentation.

^ I love VG Cats. IMO, 'twould be easier to explain about peas and such, instead of having to black out stuff. No problems with picky people getting angry with the suggestion of vulgarity or something.

Lots of adults tend to be biased against video games. They're used to music, but video games isn't so much of our culture yet. I can recall some adults who I knew, who thought that if you played video games you'll eventually become a violent idiot immersed in fantasy worlds.

You'd be as surpised as I was that several of my teachers knew what the hell I was talking about when I stated my intended project.

A bunch of the other students had blank faces when i said RPG then 2 teachers spoke up: "RPG stands for Role Playing Game" then the other goes into a brief summary of an RPG. My chances are good.

Ah, that changes everything. But still, music and videogames aren't on the same level.

What exactly is the form of this project again?

Rattan, dunno if I'm late, but I just remembered a MMORPG that I play alot. Runescape. Yeah yeah, I know some people don't like it, but it is THE example of a MMORPG. I can give you some info on that since I'm fairly high level if you want.

I'm all set with MMORPGs. I'm only asking for assistance on the other 3 areas from gamers like you. I don't have any of you people in my guild. There all like...old and stuff. As in they spend all their time on 1 game rather than actually gaming.

Heh. I remember Runescape. Seems to atract some of the weirdest people on the internet because it's free. There was this one guy who was standing around in the newbie town (Lumbridge I believe) saying "I grease my ass with Lysol" over and over again. I leave, come back like 20 minutes later and he was still there saying "I grease my ass with Lysol". He probably had some machine doing that.

Yeah. Some of the internets weirder folk tend to hang around that game. I usually am near scorps, were I can watch annoying low levels die. =p

A guy killed himself while playing EQ. They say he had been medicated and depressed. Probably loss a roll on some equipment. Or if he was a cleric it might have been the Zordak camp. Christ that camp is like the bane of non-serious online gamers. You could be waiting from between 2 to 20 hours. Even longer even. Its the ****ing worst camp in existance.

Another weird thing I did when I first registered (sometime around 01 or 02), I decided to have my character be a girl to make my identity more secret and those freaks acted like they've never even seen a girl before, even in real life. They said some things that really scared me.

Another stupid thing on Runescape was where a member was following me saying dirty things to me. Because I can't get rid of him, I run into I high level dungeon and watch him die...But then I get killed and find him in Lumbridge. I then change servers and then he kept sending me Private messages. Another thing that's interesting according to one person is that the freaks who inhabit Runescape aren't very common in the member servers.

Alright anyone know about a Strategy RPG that supremely sucks ass? As in playing it was in itself a torture.

If not a very poor one will do. It helps me find a game for the other end of the spectrum a.k.a. poor games.

So far:

Standard:
Thousand Arms
Action: Dot hack (I love the game but I do see some problems that make it the low man on the totem poll.)
Strategy:
?????
MMORPG:
Shadowbane

You could make a case for FFTA, but... I dunno, it was kind of fun.
