What was it about again?

Oh yeah. The new game.

I'm debating whether I should preserve my own opinion's sanctifying of ff7 as a truly great game by not so much as touching a game sequel which would proably ruin it, and playing the sequel.

Curse me weakness.

Dunno how you can make an RPG on a cell phone, but Square-Enix found a way to Continue FF7 with Advent Children, and if they can do that, then they can probably find a way to make a Cell Phone RPG.

Well, I don't expect FFVII: AC or BC: FFVII to be very good. But I'll be seeing the movie anyways (I'm not gonna bother with the game.)

FF7 is crap. I've played it twice through and I cannot even begin to see why people prefer it over FF6. FF7 is pretty much the harbinger of Sqaure's games going to crap.

Nope. that would be FFX. It's sequal does it's best to try and make it seem better. Thats what I think was the reason it was created. They knew people wouldn't like it as much. So they created a fat friend to make it look better by comparison.

Ill post what i said before about FFVII

"Im just looking around and Im thinking everyone is saying Chrono Cross sucks, and so doesn't Final Fantasy VII, I dont know if its me.. but I just got the thought that there is extreame biased against these two games, Im sure that all of you enjoyed playing it when you played it (when you were not thining that it was a rip off, or it was stupid because Luca died..)"
Let me add...
There is no reason to say this game sucks and basicly flame people through little "fact arguments", and call people fanboys. I'm only posting my opinion- and i know none of you care, but anyways, Im a Final Fantasy VII "fanboy" to the ost hardcore extreames, and if you dont like it then go off doing something I care about.

I've been in the market for a cell phone for a long time now, and now that they are planning this game.. im probably going to buy that phone that it goes with so that i will be able to enjoy the prequal to the best Final Fantasy aside from FFXI ^_^ (they're getting to be even these days)

Woah woah woah, hold it right there. FF7 doesn't suck by any means, it's a great game, but the best?! Have you even played any of the Super Nintendo games? As far as Chrono Cross goes, I did think it sucked, just for the fact that it was the sequal to what I consider to be the best game EVER made and it didn't really live up to it. I'll admit I haven't played through all of Chrono Cross and I would like to at least once.

Chrono Cross raped the Chrono Trigger series of all that was good. Fighting system, characters, and storyline. As far as FF7 goes, I'll just say this.. Cloud wears hammer pants.

FFVII was a very good game. It was not the greatest, because there can not BE a greatest. It's all a state of mind. Making a game on cellphones--NOT the wave of the future. If you want a handheld game, go buy yourself a handheld gaming system. I see cellphone games as a fad that may last for a while, but in the long run are doubted to hold their own. Now, I CAN envision some sort of gaming system that doubles as a phone sometime in the future, but not now. That's my take. It seems as though they're trying to milk that game for all its worth--and although I'm looking forward to AC, I'm concerned with what it's going to turn out like. It might end up being just like BC and is just trying to suck all of us dry.

OFF-TOPIC BUT STILL SQUARE RELATED--Okay, I'm going to first say something that will utterly confuse some people. I really did enjoy playing Chrono Cross. (???) I liked it, plain and simple. Now, WHY???

That'd be because I played Chrono Cross through before I played Chrono Trigger.

I know as a sequel, CC ticked off a lot of people. In essence of gameplay, the creators screwed with the entire system. Yes, I agree. They did manage to work in parts of the storyline to CT, though--Now, don't get mad at me, but I'm still currrently working on CT. (Right now, I'm at the Mountain of Woe.) I don't know how well they integrated it though.

A lot of people say that CC, as a standalone, would have been a good game. See, I think it was a good game but it did NOT fulfill the expectations of those that played CT. They were expecting something entirely different. But, if you were like me, you couldn't be disappointed for the same points as CT veterans. There's a difference between fulfilling expectations and being a good game--that is what I personally believe. And if I'd played CT first? I'd probably feel the same as a majority of you here.

For once, this is an instance where it might have been better to have played the sequel first. Things might be clearer about the storyline if you'd played CT first... But you really aren't thrown THAT off course if you hadn't.--END OFF-TOPICNESS

And FFX? It struck out with some, scored with others. FFX-2 on the other hand--I can't say they made it to get better support for FFX. I'm sorry, I just CAN'T. FFX-2 was just an attempt by Square to attract a new audience. Attempt, anyway--I wonder if it actually attracted or repelled more people...?
