There is a rumor that Ulty is actually future Rinoa. Rinoa recieves the sorceress power from Edea, then becomes Ultimicia, who gives it back to Edea when she gets thrown back in time, who will give it to Rinoa...

Anyway, it's a pretty crazy theory, but interesting.

Ultemecia was probably one of the best villians ever-I loved how her Castle looked, the music that played when you fought her (The Extreme I believe?), Dealing over 100,000 damage with the limits (I personally disliked Junctioning, but you at least make your characters super-powerful), and I'll never forget the look on my sister's face when I was fighting her final form and said that she looked like Ultemecia. Hysterical, but my face was sore for weeks both from laughing so hard and from when my sister slapped me with the force of a wrecking ball.

I need to relay FF8 again too-Just to experience the pure awesomeness of the Summons and then say my sister looks like Ultemecia again. (But I'm not looking forward to saving Rinoa a million times and Junctioning)

Pretty cool game. Ultimecia's plot was so twisting my brain hurted with ouch.

Well, it wouldn't be a Final Fantasy game without a last minute surprise boss... like Zeromus or Necron.

The number 1 thing that sucks about Ultimecia was that she wasn't present for most of the game. She is a mastermind of evil plots though...

Ultimecia made a pretty crappy villain, but she was a good enough character. I am a firm believer of the Riona = Ulty theory(I found enough proof in the game for me to start thinking about it, and other people have written articles at rpgamer.com that made me really believe it), so if you classify her as a character...

Funnily enough, if you count Rinoa as both herself and Ultimecia... it makes her much better.

Yeah, what's the deal with Final Fantasy games and their last minute bosses from no where?

Necron was the worst. I remember having no idea what the hell was going on at the end of FF9. It was just like "ROAR, IME EEEEVIL." Completely out of no where. Left field.

Yeah, that's why FF6 is the best. Kefka started as the main bad guy, and Kefka ended as the main bad guy. No mess.

Rinoa = Ultimecia? Woah. Never thought of that. I really need to replay FF8.-jay

^True dat about Necron-FF9's last battle would have been alot more better if it were Kuja in some beyond-trance-state, like you beat Kuja, then he gets all mad and goes beyond trance.

Though Ultemecia still looked cool...Though when she casts Draw on her bottom half during her last form...
