And the reason why people (and myself) bash FFXI without playing it is because we're too smart to waste 100 bucks on buying a game and then paying 10 bucks a month to play it.-jay
50 dollars (just the same as any other game), and 12/month which is not alot of money.

We need a game, for the Gamecube which you control Kefka(or other unlocked characters like Walt Disney and Hitler) to take over the world. Besides, Kefka is the easiest SNES character to interpret into 3-D since he's a insane clown. FF;CC sucks because of the 4 GBAs requirement and the last time I saw it, it was on sale at a pawn shop for $12.50!

My idea for a villain game rules because they're always trying something new and kiddy on the Nintendo systems nowadays

^Kingdom Hearts and FF9 never sucked. You will all fear Kuja.

If you hate Kingdom Hearts because it's "too kiddy" you need to be shot in the kneecaps.

Squeenix is also working on a FullMetal Alchemist game...

Of course, that title goes to the Ch-ch-ch-Chip 'n' Dale MMORPG.

Immortal words.

I can go on a rant about what some idiots at my school are saying to people about games like Kingdom Hearts and basically anything non-"M"-rated but that's not for here.

The sad part is, Square had to make a game with Disney in order to have a good game.

Also, the graphics for Kingdom Hearts were sub-par or simply par. I'm not about to say that's a bad thing. If Square has to make a game with only decent graphics to make it good, then I'm all for it. Conversely, if they're games are going to suffer due to too much time spent on graphics, they need check their priorities.

I think that the real reason why Square sucks nowadays is that they never really go ahead and try to make a solid battle engine with some new concepts. They do try to create new concepts but the new concepts tend to ruin the solidity of the battle engine, y'know like the Sphere grid of FFX or the Star system of Chrono Cross or the new ideas that are being cooked up by Square.

You know, for a "sucky" company, Square has an umpload of creative battle systems under their belt.

And the Sphere Grid wasn't a battle system.

I meant actual gameplay and I don't see why they can't come up with better plots and characters. FFXII is very much vague, Vaan's a boring white-haired fag in terms of looks and Pamela looks like Vaan's twin sister.

It was a leveling up system-And possibly their worst idea ever aside from Tidus.

But if they were responsible for the leveling-up system of Final Fantasy 2, then THAT is their worst idea ever.

FF2 had a creative and original battle system, getting more HP the more you are damaged makes sense. I just don't think it worked the way Square meant it to.

Original, yes. A little fun when you get spells up really high and watch them slaughter most enemies in one hit, yes. Painful, DEFINATLEY YES. I mean, it takes FOREVER to get your stats up in FF2-And when they DO finally go up, they only go up one at a time. And Maria's stats are just pathetic-I spent nearly an hour and a half just trying to get her health and defense stats up so she wouldn't constantly die and when I finally DID manage to get her health and Defense up, Firion and Gus's health and defense were nearly double hers. However, her Cure spell and MP were nearly to the max because almost all she did was heal herself. And it wasn't just Maria who gave me trouble-All of the other party members except for Layla, Richard, and Lionheart gave me trouble getting their stats up. (NOTE: Gordon SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS!!!)
