Alright I'm only in 8th grade right now and I'll be entering 9th next year, so could anybody give me(and other rising freshmen) tips on the do's and don't's of high school?

High school isn't as big a deal as you think it is. Just be yourself, and avoid seniors.

^That last part is especially true. Because I love torturing freshmen.

Just sit back, relax and enjoy it! You're in for a bumpy ride, but I'm very sure you'll have a great time in high school. =)

Wow, I miss high school...I was a freshman in high school in 1999.

Freshmen think they're cool because they're not middle schoolers anymore. Sophomores think they're cool because they're not freshmen anymore. Juniors finally realize that high school sucks, and seniors are the most useless people in the school.

I thought my freshman year was more difficult than my sophomore year as far as academics go. I actually had to study for exams. This year, I almost do better if I don't study. But, emotionally, I'd say that my sophomore year, particularly the second half of it, has been more of a killer for me. I'm always tired and sick of the routine. Plus I'm a hormone-crazy sixteen-year-old, and I'm constantly in love with people I can't have. I expect things to be a bit smoother by the end of next year, when I will have grown wiser, stronger, and more mature.

I just skipped to that part about seniors my freshman year. I was busy doing that Junior thing from 5th to 8th grade.

If you want some real advice, get your requirements for your Foreign Language electives out of the way as early as you can.

Plan out your schedule for your high school career. I regret doing this and I found myself scrambling for the credits I needed. I took classes I didn't need and ended up leaving myself no slack for my junior (this year) and senior years.

When I was a freshman, all the seniors thought I was a knife-wielding maniac. I ruled the senior class even then.

And yeah, try to plot out as many of your needed courses as you can and take them as early as possible. You want your juior and senior years to be relatively leisurely

I've been busy doing that Junior thing since preschool. And I'm going into Freshman year, too.

Definitely. They didn't even have Latin III this year, so I was screwed.

Take as many classes possible, even if it kills you...

But, you should try to get the required classes out of the way during freshmen and sophmore year, and then you can kind of relax after that.
