Our lunch hour isn't an hour at all. It's only 45 minutes. Since it's a private school with an elementary, middle, and high school sharing the facilities, we have to juggle our time with the other divisions, and we, naturally, get the last slot in the day: 12:45 PM. It's sick. We're STARVING by then. Fortunately, we're the only people in the school with vending machine privileges. Plus, while the younger kids have to have special passes to get pop and frozen yogurt, we get it everyday. Our food is pretty much Grade D. But compared to what I've seen at other schools, it's not so bad. At one school I toured, they served grapes that smelled like pee. They took fish sticks and called them chicken tenders. ![]() [ June 29, 2004, 06:17 PM: Message edited by: Princess Zelda of Hyrule: God Bless ] |

Anyway, I usually bring a lunch, though times that I don't I get some RedVines from the vending machine or something. |

Their Pizza rolls turned from good to bad when they switched from East Coast Pizza to Mama Ronis, The fries were just...Well, when you buy them, you more or less just take a chance because some days they were McDonalds quality and other days they were absolutley terrible. Their hamburgers were okay, but the Pizza Hut, Blackjack, and Chic Fi'la sandwiches were worth every penny...Even though the Pizza Hut stuff would have like 1 Pizza that didn't have much sauce, and I'm almost always the one who gets that one. They also had great choices in chips. |

And most schools don't call it it lunch hour either, also if I'm not mistaken... The food is okay, but this stuff at the summer college seems to be a step up. But usually I end up throwing away half the stuff I get. |

Gender: Posts: 3,010 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts | When sophomore year started, I got to go to different fast food places near the school (Burger King, Taco Bell, a greek place, McDonald's, a convience store, chinese place, etc..). I didn't have to set foot inside my high school cafeteria for a good THREE YEARS. *evil laughter* |

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

We prepay for our food, and its usually pretty bad, but there are a few good things, so i voted okay. As an alternative, you can leave the cafteria early, and go the canteen (an on campus store) and buy food. However, it's generally somewhat expensive (besides soda, which actually gives decent prices) but the food is better. |

I got a Ham Melt Sub once, and (I'm not exaggerating at ALL) it was green. Mostly, anyway; some parts were kind of brownish-green... the sad thing is, I was actually used to that kind of quality, so until I almost threw it up, I didn't say anything. So now I bring a sack lunch... although I'm actually going to a different school next year, so maybe I'll have some not-sucky food, eh? |

Occasionally icecream. The food was so sh*te, except for the pizza. Which by no means can I eat every goddamn day. ![]() |

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

Worst of all, you constantly find hair in your food, and you bring it back to the lunch lady and she sais it's your hair when my hair is like a millimeter long. |
