Were you more into music, theatre, or making stuff like drawing and painting? Isn't it unfair that the government is cutting back on the arts? I WAS a bandie freshman year and started to dive into theater. Sophomore year I quit band and went into vocal music. Junior year was my pottery phase and last year, I really took to drawing. And yes, I still stuck with theatre for all four years. With the crappiest stage conditions known to man. I think at least SOME art classes should be required. Gives you a chance to exercise the entire brain and use some creativity. At least take an Art Fundamentals class and get your feet wet. (Where's PZoH when we need her?) |

We did some drawing, some painting, pottery, and an architecture project. Overall, it was an easy A, but i don't have much artistic talent and I didn't find it too fun. |

I'm a constant dooler in class, which has aroused more than one complaint in parent-teacher conferences, although I swear it helps me pay attention. Music is my life. I've been studying voice with my current teacher for a little over five years, and I've sung in various choral ensembles since I was eight. I play the violin in my school's orchestra, and I'm kind of a self-taught pianist. What I love most is musical composition. I've never written a piece from start to finish, but I have an ever-growing collection of little "fragments." I'm into theater, too. Aside from a few specific character types, I'm not a terrific actress, but I've gotten some principal roles over the years. I love musical theater as far as singing goes, but I'm an abysmal dancer. |

Particularly choral music, but I've also played the violin in my school orchestra. I've wanted to get a visual arts class in, but my schedule has always been too crowded. |

It was actually commercial art- logo design, that sort of thing- so it less painting, drawing, etc. and more with fun things like Photoshop and airbrushing. I used to like hand drawing, but now it just seems tedious. |

But art... not my cup of tea. The drawing and painting... I switched out of art for next year because I'm so bad at it... So now I'm in theatre stagecraft. Which is still kinda artsy, but not actually drawing... at least, I hope. But, I do draw one good-looking stick figure. ![]() |

Just think of stuff as lines and curves and not on actually naming what you're drawing, and it's easy. I've really taken to pastels, since I'm a color freak, but I don't like painting that much. YAY TECHIE!!! *hug* God, I think I've done everything in theater. Both as an actor and a techie. I'm just that bitechual. The art that I didn't really like was pottery. I was just never really that good at it. *shrug* |

I can also play a little bit of guitar, and I'm an ok artist, but I'm much more of a vocal person. I had a D average in General Art when I took it. So yeah... But school sucks anyway, so it doesn't matter. And I don't mean that I don't want an education, I mean that the current school system (in my area at least) sucks ass. But whatever. |

My voice teacher has officially declared me a lyric coloratura, so I tend to focus in that area. Mozart and Gillbert and Sullivan all the way. I do a lot of operatic Broadway, too, but I can't belt worth crap. |
