| *Diddy bops* Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Birmingham, AL Gender: Posts: 15,014 Thanks: 1,616 Thanked 1,084 Times in 597 Posts | Well, this week is our school's homecoming week Everyday was a different theme: Monday: Music Monday*/, Freshmen- Country Sophmores- Reggae Juniors- Punk Rock Seniors- Rap Dress accrding to class, This day showed the most ignorance, as two white kids came with their faces painted to a black skin color. They had taped cardboard, and du-rags, and stuff on, and laid the cardboard on the floor and TRIED (key worD) to break dance. They were eventually forced to wash their faces off. But the funny parts were the white kids who came dressed in du-rags, and had rims and hubcaps hanging from their necks. Tuesday: T-Shirt Tuesday* Freshmen- Yellow Sophmores- Blue Juniors- Green Seniors- Red People go all out for these things...... I won't even begin. Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday (Tacky Day)* Just plain ol' tacky day, I had all kinds of different crap on. MY friends had some boots and high heels on, and my boy Chico had a red vest, that when opened up had a half top, and he did an occasional "tity-time" shakin' his chest. Thursday: Traditional Thursday Freshmen- Babies Sophmores- Nerds Juniors- Camoflauge Seniors- Hippies Should be funny, though I'm not dressing up for it. Last year we had guys in Vietnam shirts and in wheelchairs rolling around the school. Spirit Friday: Not dressing up for this either, you must "show school spirit" by wearing maroon and white (blah, in case you don't know, I hate this school, I hate it here, Tennesee sucks.) All I'm doing is finding an excuse to wear a hat all damn day. Saturday: The Dance: I'm takin' a good girlfriend of mine, and I have my outfit, that's getting worked on at K&G. So, anyone else had theirs yet? |

All I know is that, this year, one of our themes is Pirate Day. We usually have Farm Day, Decade Day, Hat-and-Shoes Day, Clash Day, and others along that line. |

Yeah, that's right. Here's our schedule: Monday: Sports Day Basically, wear your sports jerseys, sweatshirts, whatever. I didn't do it last year and I'm not this year. I just don't watch a lot of sports. Tuesday: Pajama Day Now THIS I'll do. It's exactly as the name implies--wear your pajamas to school. Yay. I can get up five minutes later. =P Wednesday: Crazy Hair Day Not everybody does this, put it's pretty cool to see some people's. Maybe I'll gel my bangs funny or something? Of course, everyday is crazy hair day for some people. Thursday: Clash Day Yay! Wear whatever the heck you want! (Well, almost. =]) Fun. Friday: School Spirit Day Bleh. Practically every Friday's school spirit day, so no biggie. Just wear red and black (and/or white). Nice and easy. Aaand... Tuesday and Wednesday there are doughnut eating contests on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. There's a Powderpuff game on wednesday, Thursday night you can come and decorate your hall. Then the halls are judged Friday morning. And Friday night is the football game, where the band (us!) puts on a cool half-time show. Saturday from 7:30-10:30 is the dance, but I'm not going. (The theme is strangely "Autumn in New York". I don't quite get it. Either there's a meaning behind it or saying Autumn in Chicago is too corny.) Nobody's gonna ask me out, and I don't like the guy I liked last year enough to even dare. I barely've talked to him this year anyway. So probably I'll just be hanging out with a friend, maybe a group. At least next week'll be better since I'm not a freshie this year. |

Besides, I have a volleyball tournament hours away the morning of the dance. We'll probably finish about 4 hours before, then drive home in 2-3 hours and get ready (which takes a long time in itself). That is gonna be fun. I don't even think I'm going, unless somebody asks me. Preferably a guy... that I actually like... So, what about your homecoming football games? Are your teams any good. Lets just say our are not... ![]() |

Our football teams... well, our varsity team kicks ass (3-1 record, and they only barely lost), but our JV team... well, at least they haven't been shut out yet, eh? But Varsity's all that really matters anyway, so I'm cool with it. |

Thursday: Career Day. Friday: Green & White Day. In the end, the most spirited class was the seniors, then the juniors, then the sophomores, and then the freshmen. Spirit Week is overrated, anyway. Green and white are our school's colors. I didn't dress up for anything because I totally lack school spirit. Then we had the pep rally, which sucked ass. Honestly, why would I be proud to be a freshman? Along with the juniors yelling "Freshman Friday" and the sophomores throwing their crap (or whatever) at us, it wasn't too great. Then there was the football game. Our team slaughtered that one, winning 46 to 6. Then there was the dance. Good thing everyone dresses casually for those. Anyway, the dance was my favorite part, but the dancing wasn't the reason why. Thus concludes the Homecoming. It was good for the most part, but the pep rally held it back from being perfect. For good reason. It's one of the worst ones we regularly have. Tuesday: Hat Day -- Normally this would be awesome, but are school is because a gigantic asshat by expecting people to pay for the right to wear the hat. WTF?! Isn't being spirited enough good enough for you, *****es?! Wednesday: Retro Day -- The only good one out of the bunch, other than Hat Day, if it were free. Thursday: Mardi Gras Day -- WTF?! That's all I have to say. This idea was RITARDANDO. Friday: School Colors -- Black and Gold, of course. Yay. |

Monday: Pajama Day Tuesday: Beach Day Wednesday: Wacky (Tacky!) Wednesday Thurday: Hat day Friday: You guessed it, school spirit day. Red and white. Of course, I'm doing none of this. Although I vow to wear blue and black on friday to hopefully piss someone off. --------------------------------- ~Gamer Chris ![]() |

As for hat day, charging money was the only way the administration would allow us to do it (and last year there was a fee for hat day). It was only a quarter, quit being cheap. We are having Mardi Gras day because this years homecoming theme is Mardi Gras. We're going to be selling beads and masks. And Freccia (the advisor) messed up the school colors. He told underclassmen to wear black and upperclassmen to wear gold, and its suppsoed to be the other way around. Oh well. | |
