Intro To Theater Musical

Well, in theater we had to turn a children's book into a musical a couple of weeks ago. The 5members in my group, Jordan, Clayton, Paul, Garret, and of course, myself, had unique traits to their character,
Clayton- Hansel, added Austrian accent, big dumb muscular guy,
Paul- Gretel, Monty-Python-esque portrayal of a woman, flamboyant
Jordan- Momma/Witch, this guy can play some odd parts
Garret- Pops, a texas-like hick
Myself- Narrorator, Samuel Jackson-esque, loud arrogant

Well, our group is known to knock em dead, and we're flat out hilarious, and we now have the task of musicalizing it, we have to tweak the lines some, and some of the songs we are usign in it are:

We have a couple of choices for the opening:
"We Will Rock You"- Queen
"Let's Get It Started/Retarded"- Black Eyed Peas
"Freestyle"- Sean J

But after that starts, the mom and dad are arguing, and after she tells him she wants to get rid of the kids, he starts singing "You're As Cold As Ice" (by ???)

It'll then go to the kids, and "Bicycle Race" (Queen) starts playing.

Later into the woods, when they get to the witch's house, he begins singing "I Put A Spell On You" (???), and after than, Clayon backs up saying "Man she is uuuugggllly" and sticks his left hand out, a mic stand is thrown from offstage into his hand and he begins singing "Dude (Looks Like A Lady)"(Aerosmith), rocking around and everything.

At the end, we'll do "We Will Rock You"

The requirements are each member has to have at least 2 minutes of song. It's going to be hilarious, I'd like to post the script when I find mine, but, heh, what do you all think?

Yea, I did, we ended up improving it mostly.

We did it Monday

It was fun, our songs, in order were:

"You're As Cold As Ice"
"Bicycle"- Queen
"Gettin' Grown"- Cee-Lo
"Dude Looks Like A Lady"- Aerosmith
"Workout Plan" KanYe west
"I Put A Spell On You"- CCR
"We Are The Champions"- Queen

My friend Mack's was the best (Bl4ck Warrior)
he and Chris (Soon to join, I shall see to it)

They did "Little Bear's Visit" and mack is just a plain good actor.
