I hate uniforms What are your opinoins on uniforms and dress codes ME, personally, I hate them, I want to have the freedom to wear what I damn well please. Earlier today during 1st period, they announced that there will be a new rule enforced when we come back for the second semester: All students must have pants above the waist, not on the waist, above, and all students must tuck in their shirts. I hate both of these: 1. I hate tucking my shirt in, it looks tacky, and it is uncomfortbale. 2. Even with a belt my pants go below my waist, I buy my jeans 2 sizes bigger to grow into, and since I don't want to be struggling for air in tight ass pants. Along with those, it's the fact that, I don't mind sagging pants....as long as they aren't at your ankles, more importantly as long as we can't see your underwear, please, if you're going to wear sagging pants, PLEASE wear a long shirt, I have no interest in the color of your drawls. |

I've been wearing a uniform to school my whole life so I guess I'm used to it. Obviously if I had the choice I wouldn't wear it, but it really isn't a big deal. |

I don't want to look like everyone else, that's why I aminly go clothin shoppin when I'm home in Georgia, because I want to look different from the people in Memphis. |

Dress codes I highly support. ![]() "There are some who call me... Link?" ![]() "Carpe Gaium Domesticum!" (Seize the Cucco!) Zelda: The Grand Adventures | Triforce MUCK ザ行方不明リンク 悪いユウモアの賢人 |

But the whole thing in college where there's NO dress code, yeah, that's quite awesome. Especially when you wake up 5 minutes before your first class, because then you can go there in your pajamas and you won't be late and no one will care, because it's like 7 or 8:30 in the morning, and half the campus isn't even awake yet, so people are just glad you made it to class at all. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

Getting sent to the principal for wearing a shirt that says something like "Got Wicca?" is dumb and also retarded. Marymee and them didn't even know what Wicca was and therefore thought it was teh bad. I mean, really...I had to explain it to the man. He let me go, though. ![]() |

Tacky Day: Two white boys painted their faces black and brought cardboard and "breakdanced" on them. UGH, that was just ignorant to me, but slightly funny. Not as good as last year when all the black kids dressed in Abercrombie and tight shirts and pants, and the white kids dressed in du rags, and bought new shoes JUST FOR TACKY DAY THAT THEY NEVER WORE AGAIN |

When a school gets uniforms, they are almost always the ugliest things you can imagine or extremley tacky. There is a catholic school in town and it uses cloth that's itchier than Poison Ivy and they offer just as much protection from cold as Kleenex. They even have the girls wear dresses and short-sleeve shirts and make them go outside in the middle of winter. I see that they have found better ways of punishment than the classic ruler. Dress Codes I can tolerate though. It's when they overenforce them to the point where everything except for white shirts and black pants are forbidden. |

I mean, if you cant choose what you wear, what can you choose? Schools are always talking about the students taking control of their actions, but 12th grade students cant pick what they wear to school? |
