Isn't it weird having your mom teach you stuff? o_O Homeschooling was considered for me, but I just didn't want to do it. And I think I turned out all right with public schooling. Not that I was against it, I just didn't feel comfortable with it at the time. |

I really don't understand! I mean, I know what it is and all, but I don't see how it's done. Like, when you decide to homeschool your child, what do you have to get in order to do that, yadda yadda, stuff. Because of that, the two systems seem so incomparable that I couldn't possibly make up my mind between them. The only difficulty in homeschooling is that you have to have a parent at home all the time, and with me being a latchkey kid, the notion of it was impossible (not to mention unheard of). ![]() "There are some who call me... That way, you get ahead academically, but don't end up with any serious social problems. In first and second grade, I was tutored by my mom and one of her friends. |

I am a strong supporter of homeschooling, provided the parents are dedicated to giving their child(or children) the best possible education. In addition, homeschooling parents should try to get their kids involved in some outside activities like 4-H, sports, or a church youth group so the kids are able to function in the "real" world.
