With my writing score added in, I have a 2040, the equivalent of a 1360 on the old SAT. It's a good score, but I'd most certainly prefer the 1400 that I DESERVED... ...But I'm not bitter at all. My disappointment is multifold, as writing has always been my greatest academic strength by far. I insist that timed essays are not a fair way to measure a person's writing abilities. REAL essay-writing requires a certain amount of time spent thinking and planning, which you can't really take during the test. |

Critical Reading: 800 Math: 740 Writing: 780 I will dance on your faces. 2320, which is better than anything I expected. On the old scale that rounds out to a 1550, which, to my understanding, is a very, very sexy score. *dance* Only question now is if I should take it again. First time: V-510,M-470,C-980 Second time: V-590,M-480,C-1070 Not great scores, but I made it into college, so its all good. I probably would have done better on math if it wasn't for geometry. |

ACT, I haven't taken yet. I was in like the top 5% for my class (2008). EDIT: I have it in front of me. 670 on Critical Reading. 620 on Math. 710 on Writing. 95th percentile (meaning I'm in the top 5 percent). Not bad. I could do much better, though. EDIT 2: you're all making me feel stupid ![]() |

Wy got 10 less (equivalent) than I did on SAT (Though, to be fair, I took it four years ago). But then, I've been jammed in the 99th percentile all my life on those tests, so I really don't think it means a whole lot. |

Now, if you were to take it again with the writing, we could make a comparison. ...and if I took it a second time, I guess. |

If that doesn't blow away the old canard about smart people testing well, I don't know what would. __________________ Boo--beware, he lives |

Writing section was easy, I'd be dissapointed with anything less than a 33. Math was ok until the end, I didn't expect much out of myself there. Reading and science- 40 questions in 35 minutes? Ridiculous, especially science, my gawd. Thanks goodness I'm going to a branch where the only requirement is a 2.0 GPA and that you're breathing, then transferring to a main campus after 20 credit hours.
