I'm going to go out on a limb and say I seriously doubt god, in all his glory, gives two ****s about how or when we have sex. I also doubt it would be possible to bump uglies in the traditional sense from an incorporeal spiritual existance.

God does not approve of adultery, pre-marital sex, incest, homosexuality, lying, stealing, murdering, and countless other things. In other words, God does not approve of sin. Sin(no matter how big or small it may seem) is what separates us from God.

The good news is that there is a way to be reconciled to God, which is through Jesus Christ.
Anyway, this might make an interesting topic on the PP&R forum.

Sorry Smason you got it all wrong - the Catholic God is a tight-ass old man living in his parents' basement, not mine.

It's Sampson, not Smason.

In other words you don't believe in God? Or am I misinterpreting your meaning?

This topic makes me even more thankful I don't go to a catholic school and that the only taste of religon I have is from two hours of Sunday school each week.

I'd rather not repeat some of that bull that gets uttered by the rich white kids or gangster wannabes in school, as I would most likely offend someone or get banned without so much of a warning. It really makes me worry that these are the people who are going to be running the country in the future.

^If those quotes are supposed to be representative of the average Catholic school, then my life once again proves to be a giant string of anomalies.

I went out with a Catholic chick a little over a year ago. Good Lord, was she screwed up. She broke up with me, and told me why about 6 months later, because I was "content to work at Wal-Mart."

I'm wishing good luck to the poor bastard who gets married to that gold digger.

I hardly think it's appropriate to suggest catholicism directly correlates to pig-headedness, but high school in general promotes narrow-mindedness. Any institution where the cruel flourish is no place for a child or fragile young adult. Parents are the cause of it, and the human race is to blame for all of the injustice their and our children must face. If they are not raised with love and tolerance, they will not know it. They will breed and beget hate. The only thing I truly learned and believed as a direct result from school is how to manipulate. That isn't safe, that doesn't help anyone.

-"Do you feel sorry for homeless people cause I don't. I mean most of them are just asking money to get more drugs. I read a study that said most homeless people dropped out of school and they just don't want to work."

I feel sorry.

-"Gay people just want to force their gayness on all of us. They shouldn't be allowed to kiss or hug or hold hands in public, it's just disgusting."

the forcing part is stupid. And just holding hands?hugging? That's just a sign of affection.

-"If a woman is wearing a slutty outfit and goes around at night in a bad neighborhood she's practically begging to be raped. It's her own fault."

It's Just clothes.Just ignore it.

-"People who read the Bible in their spare time are losers who have no life."

Hope you're suspended.

-(referring to a teacher who got so frustrated one time with a student that she got really mad and started crying)"She's such a psychopath. I'm actually scared to be around her."

ANGER DOES NOT MEAN INSANITY.I get angry and I
am not psychotic

-"Police officers are all racist and corrupt."

NO.

-"Homosexuality is unnatural. It's a disease. There's something wrong with their brain, I know there a clinics where you can be treated for it. So I don't see why we have to put up with them."

no comment.

-"We shouldn't be taught to respect other religions. This is a Catholic school!"

Racist idiot.

-"Chinese people get their names from banging on pipes and hearing what sound it makes"

A bit funny, but no.

-"You're so stupid. Stop acting like such a Jew!"

Racist idiot.

-"If I had a kid who told me he was gay I wouldn't stand for it. I'd just disown him. I'd just tell him to leave my house and not come back."

TOLERANCE.TOLERANCE.TOLERANCE.

-If it were up to me all the gay people in the world would be shot."

See above.

-"I think sometimes people just deserve to die. I mean nowadays most of the people in prison want to be in there because its so comfortable, and so they're committing crimes to get in. If they used the death penalty crime rates would drop."

It could be the only way for them to get any shelter at all.And it's NOT comfortable. And we HAVE the death penalty.

-"We should be allowed to bring guns to school."

Oh, sure, and kill anyone who ticks you off?

-"No teachers care about students."

From past experience, WRONG-O.

-"I don't care if I break laws as long as I don't hurt anyone."

Maybe.

-"I hate gay people, but Will and Grace is a hilarious show."

what the crap is the connection here?

-"Doing drugs doesn't hurt anyone. If more people did it the world would be better."

It hurts people.

-"I don't think heaven could be good if you couldn't have sex there."

THERE ARE OTHER TYPES OF PLEASURE.

-"I wish I lived in one of those poor African countries so I wouldn't have to go to school."

and be unable to read, write, and probably have
NO rights at all?

I go to a charter middle school, a SECULAR charter middle school, but it's really nothing like that. The students are almost all Catholic, though they don't generally know what Catholics are so they identify as "Christian," and the teachers are worse. They're also not competent in any way.
Students:
"When God destroys the world, he's going to kill you first."
"[Affirmative action] is valid because school acceptance should be determined by demographic group."
"Humans aren't animals. It says so in the Bible."
Me: Oh, what, is that "Christian science," where dinosaurs are still alive?
"You're a heathen."
I don't think they even knew what a heathen is.
"German people are dumbasses that just kick around dead chickens for fun."
Teachers: The vice principal, half of the lunch aids, and all but one of my grade's teachers used to be a nun. That "one" was only not a nun because he was male.
Me:[To other student]There is proof that Jesus was a masochist.
Aid: Don't talk about God like that or you're going to Hell!
"Stop trying to have an opinion. You're 14."
"Atheists have empty lives."
Worse was that all the students but about five agreed with him.
"Some day, a giant hand is going to come out of the sky and kill you."
To me, after I said I was an atheist.
"You're lucky that God is merciful and gives you a free will."
This was one of several references in an assembly to the entire school by someone named Dickie Noles. He was really very full of himself, he actually sent autographed photos of himself to all of the classrooms.
"You shouldn't be different from the mainstream because it's just not worth fighting for."
"Gays should all be deported."
One of my classmates is bisexual.
"It doesn't matter whether you're right or wrong, you ALWAYS have to do what authority tells you. Even if what you do is wrong, listening to authority is much more important."
The situation that led up to this was even more ridiculous.

That's all I can remember. So, I can tell that the students and teachers are both equally incompetent and that I want to be rid of them as soon as possible. I, of course, hate my school.

Being around that many screwed-up people would give me a skewed view of religion, too.
Luckily, though, I didn't have to go to a school with that many screwed-up people.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
