If you can take philosophy, I recommend you do. Too many people live without thinking about how one ought to live. Plus, you can gank a lot of video game plots from it.

If you go to any college with a respectable theatre program, take Acting I. You won't have to be very good to get a good grade (colleges with respectable theatre programs understand that not every theatre major is an actor, and usually non-majors are allowed to take the class), and it's great for meeting people & having fun & picking up some social interaction skills. And it's not boring like a public speaking class.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Get your math skills up to par. Most colleges that offer gaming related majors require the student to have taken heavy math classes in high school. Another English class wouldn't hurt either.

If you're going to be programming games math and physics are incredibly important.

I don't know what classes your school offers, but into your later years of HS, be sure to take extra Maths, I resented it, but in the end, it REALLY does help. UAB is showing a little bit more interest because of my AAT credit and soon to be AP Calculus AB credit.
