Are fights at school getting out of hand? Have you seen any fights at school recently?

There was a slappy girl fight the other day until another girl came in and punched one in the face and the the janitor tackled her.

Also, there was supposed to be a fight in the boys bathroom and it got around to a lot of kids, so there was about 30 kids in one bathroom waiting for a fight, but a teacher came in in the middle of it.

I also think that fights are kinda fun to watch, but something should be done about stabbing and stuff like that.

Most of the people at my schools are idiots who make empty threats coupled with retarded inquires after every single comment is made, but no actual fighting takes place. For example, "Who yo talkin' to? I will smash yo' head in..." Etc.

Same. I was real hotheaded. Our school doesn't have as many fights as it did in the past, too many kids on pills and weed to fight.

I've had several kids tryin to fight me, just cause they wanted to pick a fight with a black kid (dunno exactly why), I did fight one. Not to brag, but it was probably the quickest fight I was ever in, that's not cause of his race, it's cause he was just a b*tch.

But yeah, the senseless fights gotta stop, it's not worth gettin OSS over stupid petty stuff, especially the crap most teens fight about.

And to the young women out there (And men) never fight over a guy (or girl).

There's like one fight a year at our school. And that's not even a fight, just one kid punching another and giving him a concussion or something like that. It's lame and boring. I wish we had more. (Nothing serious like knives or guns, of course.) I feel gypped.

Eh. My school's really good in terms of academics, but our student body is kind of dumb (lots of drugs and drinking), the administration is incompetent, and the bureaucracy is a horrible mess. If I weren't getting such a good education, then yeah, I would want my money back.

Personally, I think fights are stupid. I mean, most of the time, everyone watches, but it isn't because they think the people who are fighting are actually cool, rather they want to see two jerks make asses out of themselves. I mean, there is nothing that happens in high school that actually justifies getting into a fight with another student.

Unless they happen to try and attack you for no reason.

One thing I don't get is half of the zero tolerance rule. I understand punishing the kid who started it (as in went and hit the kid), but how do you punish a kid for standing up for yourself, doesnt' that send a mixed message?

If someone came up to me and belted me a good one, they've got two seconds before they get their ass kicked. I'm not going to lay down into a fetal position and get whacked on more, sorry, gotta change that rule.

I'm sure it was. You look dumb as hell fightin over a girl (or in girl's cases a guy), that person ain't done that much for ya to get yourself in trouble.

I do agree that there should be some degree where you can protect yourself (because in real life, you need to be able to defend yourself if things should happen). But, I just do my best to be on friendly terms with everyone (and I am), so I guess I'll never really experience that scenario.

I've never really gotten in a fight..just because everybody is cool with me. I've honestly never met a person who didnt like me face to face. I've had hunches that people didnt like me, and I'm sure a few have talked about me behind my back, but everybody gets talked about. I have stood up for what I've believed in strongly though, and I basically just give somebody the glare if they think they're going to mess with me. They know to back off.

Fights are fun to watch.

But The only times i have gotten into one were in 6th and well my freinds were holding mt down but i broke free and went back on the attack.

Fights are fun to watch.
Espesically in my school.

And I got in one later that year.
But it was like a 5 minute fight.
I got the guy in the stomach then elbowed him in the back and i just kept hammering him.

Oh. I forgot to mention that after our school's annual fight we have a dumb assembly about how fighting is bad. Like we don't know.

Me i suck at fighting.
But I get um when there guard is down.
Like(I was messed up for this) when i was in the 5th grade, that is when i had my first fight.
Like what I did is i socked the guy in the stomach and he bent down and i socked him in the jaw.

And I left the bus(I did that on the bus) and later i started hearing this rumor that the guy got knocked out.
And well If someone just starts making jokes i can take that.
But if they hit me.
I will hit them back.

So then i realized...........Wow i knocked his punkass out

Well, the fights this year have already increased from last years number of fights.

Today, this huge kid punched a kid in the face, picked him up and threw him into the lunch table, then started kicking his head, crotch, and chest. The kid that got beat up was mentally retarded too.

On Monday, another huge kid punched a kid right below his left eye for no reason, knocking the kid out cold. Now he has a bruise bigger than a fist and which covers half of his eye and will start bleeding if it is poked. The kid also said that if you poke it too much there, it will always bleed for the rest of his life.

As of now, there have been 8 fights since the start of the school year.
