The good, the bad, and the ugly.

Well, since this forum needs some serious attention, I thought of this.

Everyone has good, great, bad, and horrible experiences with teachers. Sometimes they teach kids in a way that really touches the students, sometimes they teach with annoying habits, sometimes they're just jerks.

This is the topic to vent about and praise your best and worst teachers.

My favorite teacher was my 9th grade English teacher. He had us analyze the literature in films, good vs. evil, difficult poems, classic novels, and tough questions about the meaning of life. I took the most from his class than any other class. He was a real inspiration.

I have a few least favorite teachers, but my worst was my 10th grade Government teacher. He taught with a horrible bias. Being a gov't teacher, it was inappropriate and hyprocritical. He would write his worksheets and pick his movies with a specific political stance. He would degrade any student that dared raise their hand against his "almighty word." It was humiliating and awkward to sit through his class.

I thought this topic was gonna be about one of the greatest films of all time.

My favorite "teacher," by far, was my Newspaper advisor. Technically she was the teacher of the class, but she really only taught me for a half semester, since I was an editor for the last two years. In fact, I would've gone so far to consider her a friend. No lie.

Least favorite teachers? Ehh, I tend to forget them. I guess my Algebra II teacher was probably my least favorite. He would always remind us, every day, of doing the last few problems on the assignment, because they were the review problems and they would be on the final exam. (I rarely did my homework anyways and still managed an A- in that class.)

Anyway, sure I ain't exactly the most skinniest guy on earth, but he always had faith in me. He would push my ass to the limit, and I respect him for that. And no matter what it was, he said I had it in me even though I was the big guy.

Least favorite teacher..... hmmmm..... I have too many to count

My 8th grade science teacher has to be number 1 on my list.
He knew I was one of those lazy students, so he treated me like a failure. He had it in for me, he sent me out of class like everyday, he gave me detention like every month. He even told me "I wouldn't be suprised if I saw you sitting here next year".
But guess what? I passed to haha to him

Hehe. P.E. teachers are really great, I agree. Unless they're pervs like one of the P.E. teachers at my school.

The Good:
1) Buschmann: 3rd-5th Science
2) Bolland: 6th-8th Math (Higher Arithmetic to Alg 1)
3) Bohn: 9th-12th Humanities & Theater
4) DuBois: 9th-12th Spanish
5) Sohm: 10th-12th Math (Alg 2/Trig, PreCalc, Calc 1)
6) McGillick: 11th US History & Social Justice
7) Miller: Frosh Sem, Calc 2 & ODEs
8) Burton: Symbolic Logic
9) Coulter: Acting 2 & Theater HistLit 2
10) Rybkowski: Stagecraft

The Bad:
1) Villani: 5th English
2) Finder: 8th English (the single worst instructor I've ever had the displeasure of "learning" from)
3) Baker: 9th Scriptures
4) Rudloff: 10th Church History
5) Modde: 10th Sacraments & 12th Sr. Topics (although his classes were extremely easy)
6) Tanner: Spanish 201 & 202 (only classes where I've ever left with less knowledge of the material than I had going in)
7) Smith: Theatre Intro, Acting 1, Theatre HistLit 1 & 3
8) Ryan: Algebraic Structures
9) Berkowitz: Clinical Experience in Teaching

The Ugly:
Brandel: 8th PE. An ineffective teacher, a biased & unjust disciplinarian, and an all-around rotten person.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
