Foreign languages?

What foreign languages did you take or are you taking?

I took Latin from seventh grade to senior year in high school. I plan to take it up again, as I need foreign language credit for my BA. That or Arabic.

I've had 4 years of Japanese, a few weeks of Spanish and French, and a month of German.

I had 5 years of Spanish: 4 in high school that made me semi-fluent, and 1 in college that almost completely erased my semi-fluency. That's right, SPAN 201 & 202 took knowledge from me.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I took six years of Spanish throughout middle and high school, and have been learning Mandarin Chinese in college.

Well, I'm sure you have a competant professor, ZG; mine was so clueless that he specifically told me not to have other people look over my essays (contrary to what every other teacher in the world says).

Umm... lemme see, I've taken spanish since 7th grade, so that's five years of that, and this year, as a senior, I'm taking AP Spanish Language (which, in my opinion, is virtually impossible -- and school barely started. ='[ )

I'm in my first of four years of French right now, and I plan to take Japanese in college.

Nice professor, yes. Competent... not so much. I've had to correct him numerous times.

I failed a year of Japanese, and now I'm taking Spanish, though I'd like to be learning Esperanto instead.

I've had some seven years of German, four of Latin, and one of Russian that I've mostly forgotten.

English for over 13 years (got my Master's degree) 5 years of German and 4 years of French. I'm still pretty fluent in German, but I don't remember much from French.

I speak English. I can (sort of) read Latin. It's not pretty.

Right now, I'm singing songs in choir that are in Mandarin, Russian, Latin, and German. It's difficult, but fun.

I've done one year of Spanish, but I gave up on that and I'm currently taking Latin, hopefully by the end of high school, I'll have 3 years of Latin and 2 years of German.

^^Yeah, this year we're singing French, German, and an African language. I've always found the French vowels difficult to sing. Your languages seem harder though.
