| Guest Posts: n/a | Ummmmm.... Is this legal? Ok, um yeah, I ain't in school right now cause I forgot to bring my ****ing School ID with me. I went to the bus-stop, and I'm waiting for the bus to come, then when it does, he starts asking us to show our bus passes. I forgot mine accidently cause I was in a rush and then he said he couldn't let me on the bus. And he knows that I am on the mannafest. So I start asking him why I can't get on the bus, and he said "school rules, no pass, no ride". But reall, can that ****er do that? Not let me on the bus cause I don't have my ****ing ID? Damn, 4th absence this year so far, I gotta stop waking up late and crap ><. |

Once somebody knows that you should be on that bus, then it shouldn't be a problem. Make sure you keep you ID in you're school bag, or your coat. I use to have the same problem forgetting my wallet. |

There's (probably) no law that explicitly states that you are given a right to board buses. It is school board property (probably). Now, is s/he liable? Maybe. You can take him or her to civil court and have a judge judge compensation. You probably don't have a leg to stand on though, because the ID policy is pretty clear, you aren't injured, there isn't a tangible loss of anything, and there isn't a sign of discrimination based on age/race/religion/gender/sexual preference/country of origin/marital status. S/he's probably just covering her ass, though. In today's post nine-eleven world, if something bad happens and you didn't follow procedure (no matter how inane), you get fired, society labels you as a pariah, and so forth. |

If not, then it's definitely legal, although it is exceedingly stupid. And remember, "School administrators are idiots." |

In the end, though, these punishments aren't really benefiting students. |

| Guest Posts: n/a | Yeah, we have forced busing. The only way you can get kicked off the bus is if you have a certain number of bus referrals. Damnit, thanks to this jackass, I gotta go to Saturday School to make up the absence. |

Basically, a policy like that is preventing kids from actually going to school. Honestly, if you have forced busing and the bus-driver KNOWS WHO YOU ARE, it's a stupid policy. |
