Trimesters

We've always had semesters at my high school, and it works just fine. But now they're switching to trimesters my senior year next year and using our class as the guinea pigs. It makes duel enrollment (taking college classes out of high school) extremely difficult to cooridinate. There are more classes in a shorter period of time and a pretty large amount of homework. I am not looking forward to it. I just wish it wouldn't have been the first year my senior year. Poop.

That is not what I thought that this was about.

I feel ya. We're the first class to be forced to take more Math credits than we need. Guess who sucks at math? <.<

Why would a topic about trimesters in the school forum be about anything else?

Trimesters are horrible for one very important reason: Kids cannot concentrate in a boiling hot classroom during the summer.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

University of Waterloo has four-month terms throughout the year, I guess mainly for the co-op program. My program alternates between a school term and a work term for four-and-two-thirds years. An interesting consequence of this is: a) I haven't had a substantial break since 2003, b) everyone I know outside of Waterloo has already graduated, and c) I have more work experience than most people my age.
