I just bought some pencils that never need to be sharpened...EVER.

The weirdest thing I found while getting some supplies from the college's bookstore.

I think he means the pencils that have a liquid graphite core. They look, feel, and write just like a normal pencil, but only cost twenty times as much.

^^Bingo! They last 3 times as much as normal pencils and less expensive in the long run as far as mechanical pencils go. Just make sure you don't lose your liquid graphite pencils.

How are they less expensive? A pack of 100 leads costs a dollar.

Liquid graphite does sound pretty cool, though.

It is cool. Pentech is making them. They say patent pending at the top of the pencils too. I'm wondering if they'll be a new hit. Liquid graphite pencils don't have tips breaking. It's a pen in the disguise of a pencil that gives graphite equivalent ink.

Does it register as #2? If it doesn't, it won't catch on.

Peh, I haven't had to buy a new box of graphite sticks for my mechanical pencil since I was in 9th grade.

And been using about the same pencil since then.

Are you telling me that stuff which lasts years costs more than disposable pencils?

From what I'm seeing on google, yes, it does register as #2.

I bet this is what the OP has. Liquaphite liquid graphite mechanical pencil by Pentech
