Geometry's...fun?

I can't believe it. After whining about math my entire school career, I run head first into the wondrous fun that is Geometry. It's like a series of delightful puzzles that can be figured out with logic, instead of the convoluted insanity that is Algebra. Each new day brings joy to my cynical, math-hating heart...

Or maybe it just boils down to: "ooh, pretty shapes".

Oh yeah, geometry was the best math class after we got past trigonometry. (trigonometry sucks)

High school geometry really is fun.
College geometry really isn't.

"omg it's Irkenwarrior12 bbq bbq bbq"

Obviously you have a love of math. Do not reject it, endorse it, because it'll give you one-up over those who hate math

^^ When I try to think of an 8 dimensional object, my brain crashes and I have to reboot.

Wait until Calculus.

I thank God that I have the option to do Basic Math in college a couple of years from now to start off. I'm not sure what kind of math credits you need for a Music major, but it would make no sense if I needed college-level calculus and geometry.

^^You'll probably need just a basic functions course, unless you can test out of it entirely. At most Calc 1, which is nothing to worry about. You absolutely won't need College Geom.
I actually know a couple music/math double majors. It's nice not to be alone on the whole gap-bridging experience.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Basic Math...that's like 091 and 097. You won't get actual college credit. Unless are you talking about finite and college algebra? What is your Music Major? Music theory or composition?

As a music major, I took one math class (basic college math), and that was to fulfill General Education requirements. I took another one for fun later on.

I didn't like high school geometry too much.

For those of you that have taken college geometry, how bad is it?

Not bad at all (but this is coming from the techie who enjoys far higher level theoretical math)

Not too bad, but I like proofs & non-applicable abstract things, which the class was full of (most of the time was spent on non-Euclidean affine geometries, with the last 3rd or so of the class being projective geometry).

Exclamation

Well I'm not in love with geomotry algebra is my thing. The equations and the quadratics not to mention the little lines. But as I'm in Geomotry I can't complain. I've got a B so cool.
