Crappy groups

at school, we have to write fictional narratives in groups, and my group sucks. Not to brag, but im almost the smartest person in my grade, i can write extremely well for my age. but in my group i get Mr.Whocares and Ms.Stupidity. plus Mr.W is very stupid as well. There are other smart people in my Language Arts class of course, but they only chose their bestest friends, so i was left with these retards. they screw around leaving me with all the work and we lose tons of points if the teacher sees we havent been using teamwork, which im pretty sure she's seen. to make matters worse, Ms.Stupidity wants to do all the work, but she has the IQ of a stick with vast amounts of fecile matter piled atop it. we have one day left to bring in a Final Draft adn we've finished the first paragraph of our rough. what the hell should i do? also, if i tell them what a crappy job they're doing, then they'll no longer like me, and i hate being rude. it kills me to do that, almost literally. i would take a kinda bad grade which will leave me with what would probably leave me with a B overall, but then i wont get my 4.0 average and ive worked my butt off to make sure that my Home Ec grade got a B. I did extra chores around the house - tons!!- to make sure i could stay after school to finish my sewing project without aggravating my parents. and to make things even WORSE WORSE, the quarter ends the day the paper is do, which means i'll have no time to get my grade up. F*CK!!!

You should talk to the teacher about this problem. She might, you know, be sympathetic.

yeah. i got a 4.0 last quarter. after all, Harvard, Stanford and Yale track grades from Elementary school!

^^Yeah, I got grades back then, but I never heard the term "grade point" until I was looking for a high school.

On topic, the suggestion to go to the teacher is a good one.

I feel you pain. I have a stupid partner in one of my classes that I hate. He fools around the entire class period with someone from another group, then goes and tells me I'm not doing any work!

Group work is a complete and utter failure of a concept. You are forced to work on a creative project with people you don't know who have different styles than you and will be mad if their ideas don't make it in. Thus, arguments begin, the group falls apart, and bad grades come rolling on in.

i know right? well, considering the fact that it is due tomorrow and we have 1 paragraph done (ROUGH DRAFT!!!!), i decided to take matters into my own hands. Knowing that these people im working with are complete retards (no offence to them, they know its true anyway. at least for one of them.), ive devised a plan in which i write the whole thing and then during study skills they edit it, with my supervision of course. Plus, they have no idea that im trying to get us a good grade by having me do all of the work. it kinda sucks, though, because it is almost 8 pm and i am still on the second paragraph (rough). ive been doing my Home Ec sewing project the whole day. Luckily for that, even if it looks crappy, ive given enough effort that ill get an A as a final grade for the quarter. And even if it was graded on how it looked id get at least a B, and with the rest of the A's i had from worksheets and pass projects id still end up with an A. Hip hip, HOORAY!! id better get started on that Writing peice now. Who wants me to post it when im completed? its only 7 paragraphs long.
