I am familiar with this. In middle school, I of all people was chosen to represent my school (along with a few others) at some anti-drug rally in Cleveland. I went because it got me out of class.

I have shown interested kids around my school, was fun (and free food) but i think they was a bit scared and thought that i was a teacher (funny what Friendly Muttonchops can do so people wonder about your age), happend another time when i went out and promoted school on a event.
