sith arent evil. there portraid as evil by the single minded jedi inferiors, but are more complex. Well, it's good to know that only the insensatively portraid Sith would commit genecide on Corruccant.
But I'm rather certain that even the most sensitively portrayed Sith would commit genocide on Corruscant in a heartbeat.

Jedi. Not one of those sissified 'ehhh, we're here to observe' doinks from the prequels, either--I'm talking an awesome 'settles a barfight by chopping off someone's damn arm' type. Remember when Ben's in the cantina after the fight, just standing there, looking around, sabre out, as if to say, "which one of you primitive screwheads is next?" That's about as badass as it gets.

Sith:

1. I already use an alternate name all across the internet. "Darth Metallius" would be pretty good.
2. I already use anger to defeat people, be it in battle or in arguments (sometimes), so it'd also be a match.
3. I've always wanted to shoot force lightning at people.
4. The Jedi repression of emotion is illogical, contrary to their claims that they are actually the most logical side.
5. Each Sith lord has pretty good choice of how they'll be. While many sources point them out to be evil, several have built vast things which actually helped people.

Well, their people.

But I get to the crux of the matter: As a Sith lord, I'd be free to do what I want, even be sorta Chaotic Neutral; after all, it's kosher to slay any other Sith Lords that'd try to annoy me as well as Jedi.

As a Jedi, I'd be forced to being the errand boy for a circle of old, naive men who have forgotten what the outside world looks like. Forced to not display emotions, not use cool things like Force Lightning, etc.

So it's a landslide choice for me.

Anyone ever read 'Dark Lords of the Sith'? Pretty awesome comic series. Main character's this hard bastard, name of Exar Kun. Starts out Jedi, then goes renegade, urged on by the ghostly form of the ancient Sith lord Freedon Nadd. Eventually Exar Kun finds what can only be described as a Sith hate-powered murder-ray, with which he kills the crap out of a gigantic monster and enslaves an entire alien race--then, after Nadd's ghost mouths off, Kun kills him, too. I'll say that again--Exar Kun kills a friggin' ghost. You hear that, folks? Before the prequels hit, the Sith were such badasses that even dead guys had to be afraid of them. That's hardcore. Kind of says a lot about how lame the prequels made them.
