I need some Star Wars games to get.

So far I've only played the first two Rogue Squadron games and Podracer. This is what I'm looking for:

-To be able to play as Rebels in canon missions, similar to the first two Rogue Squadron games
-To be able to play in a game that's the same style as the first two Rogue Squadron games
-The game should be for the PS2 or Gamecube.
-From what I understand, the Battlefront series is like this. Would you recommend one of those games? Also, would you recommend Rogue Squadron 3?
-If a game focuses exclusively on the Prequel trilogy, it's a no-no. -CSM

Well, fulfilling 3 of your 5 points is Lego Star Wars II.

'Lego Star Wars' is really good.

'Battlefront' is a great series. Mostly ground-based combat, but there are ships and vehicles you can fly around in. I personally like the first one better, because having Jedi in the second one totally unbalanced it (especially in multiplayer).

And if you can relax the 'no prequels kthx' requirement, the 'Starfighter' games for PS2 were pretty good. They might be all prequely, but they're also rock-solid.

Is 'Rogue Squadron III' the same as 'Rebel Strike'? Because that one is pretty meh.
