Was he a backstabber, or was he doing the only thing he could? What do you think? Personally, I think his character's been maligned just because of something he did because he had to. The Empire had his hands tied behind his back, and it was either give up his friends, or endanger thousands of innocent lives in his city. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one. And besides, Lando saved Han in the next movie anyways and then blew up the Death Star, so I think he's more than atoned for his sins. Share your thoughts. |

Also, I want to mention that I liked Wayne Brady's impersonation of Lando Calrissian in Whose Line Is It Anyway? |

He saved the people of his city, and the deal he negotiated with the empire would have at least kept his friends safe. When Vader endangered his friends by altering the deal, Lando didn't stand for it and went to save them himself. He totally should have explained his plan before uncuffing the vengeful wookie, though. Last edited by Deku Trii; 08-10-2009 at 10:37 AM. |

Still Lando is a schemer he new that if he did what he did he could rescue them and his people in the future. He had no choice either. As a leader he had to choose his people over his friends. Its his sworn duty. |

It's the only thing a leader could do. |
