I think it's sad that news article seems to take that last comment seriously. Gah.

They don't seem to understand that gratitious cursing is an integral part of programming.

And also, we're geeks. You actually expect us to not make Monty Python and Lord of the Rings references in our poorly designed code? Dream on. We named an entire language after Monty Python.

Also, MS FTP servers do have a reputation for being loads of crap compared to other servers. Hell, I recall reading an article where a Microsoft server solutions site was actually shut down because they were running the site on a Linux server.
