Mechs.

Yeah, this is going intensly sci-fi now, but how many of you think that mechs will be created in the future? And what purpose would they have?

You mean like in Gundam Wing or Front Mission, where mechs are essentially anthropomorphic robots, who carry huge guns and bizzare weapons? Probably not. Robots are going to end up being variants of the Roomba, wherein function will take precedence over form.

Good point but I do imagen though that eventually they will be created for the sole purpose of war and stuff similar to that.

Not even in 2500 will they get even CLOSE to making machs like in Gundam Wing or crap like that.

Well, not flyable ones at least, but we (as humans) already have to tech-know-how to create guns, robots and other stuff, if we were to gain knowlegde in these catagorys, I don't see why we won't be able to make mechs.

However I do agree with Ace saying robot will be more like the Roomba.
