(I'll put up a scan of the cover soon.) Upon looking at it, I was shocked to find all of the work they had put into it, and that the book was really long for a little kid's book. It took me a good half hour to read it all. Looking at the disaster that is the current timeline (Post-Sonic Adventure), it makes me wonder if it really would have mattered what timeline was used; this timeline here and its comic additions made equal amount of sense to Shadow being an alien, after all. This Robotnik was also the original one, which, while his design was a bit primitive for my taste, he still got the job done, unlike the current clown we have going on. What do you think? Was the original story better, or worse? Will there be a third timeline, which will reduce the once beloved SegaSonic timeline to the status of the Archie one? Is there any hope of Sonic having a sensible storyline? Last edited by Metal Man; 04-07-2006 at 01:41 PM. |

Everything else after that is much below average. Robotnik really showed his wits in the SA series, but after that he's never serious anymore. But, like what WW said, I'm satisfied (not happy, but satisfied) with what storyline we have. We don't want Sonic trying to build a relationship with Sally like in the Archie series, and we definitly don't want Sonic to spend his whole time being paired up with women. Sonic will probably never have a sensible storyline, because it's pretty much be always "Stop Robotnik from dominating the world" type of storylines. As far as the original storyline goes... it was simple and sweet, and I truly did liked the Death Egg series. (Sonic 2 thru Sonic & Knuckles). But, I really did liked the SA2 storyline as well, because it really did showed how much of a genuis Robotnik was. so... Original is equal to the SA storyline for me. |

I know the plot of the old cartoon was executed rather poorly. It had potential, although Robotnik was an overly used model (Crazy psycho scientist who once was good, but turned evil). Sally just was too cliched as well, being there only to serve as Sonic's love life. Just because she served as the intelligence center doesn't make her useful. The current Sonic plotline narrowed those specialties to Tails, which really got the plot going. Yes, Eggman seems rather odd to have an IQ of 300 when he keeps being beaten by Sonic. But he at least serves as showing off some awesome arsenal. (The Slot Machine Robot from Shadow) __________________ Can I has signature? |

Pretty good storyline, overall. Dark Robotnik(the original, who also appears in Underground) was pretty sweet, and the clown one(not the annoying Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog one) A.K.A. Eggman is cool in his own right too. Except the constant "You know what they say, the More the Merrier!" |
