Hhmm, can't read most of cd-Rs, one way to protect from piracy. Fortunately for XBox and M$, DVD-R are still expensive so maybe in a few years, that'll be when it'll spin out of control.
I've heard of two groups that have found a way to pirate XBox games and that HDD drive, I'm pretty sure a lot hackers would try to use that thing to their advantage.

Oh yea, of course, anyone with a respectable knoladge of hacking that sort of thing will do all they can to pirate X-Box games, just think about how much that would be worth. I can almost garantee that the first person(s) to come up with a reliable process for burning x-box games will be very liked by the gaming world, or at least people who get the pirated games from them.

But you know what, I feared it before and I still tihnk about it today, that HDD thingy just scares the **** out of me. I'm sure we all know the very common practice of PC developers releasing not so finished games to the masses only to be surpirsed by a download when gamer finds out game is far from finished and needs to be patched. I have this thought behind my head that reminds me, if XBox developers will take that route, considering XBOX has broadband/internet capabilities.

To whomever successfully pirates XBox games, I don't condone piracy but just a laugh against MS for all those years of crashing Windows OS(literally hhehe), M$ has always had stuggled against security, lets see them fight this one out.

Patches seem very unlikely. Downloadable add-ons and games, however, is going to happen.

Yes, Gates 'n' Company will most defenitely be damaged by that. And that would be great to see them payed back for all the crashing OS's. Especially ME, but I don't want to get off on that now. Making X-Box like I computer wasn't the greatest idea on M$'s part because one of the only reasons ps2 is still thriving is because it's almost impossible to hack, I mean for god's sake the gameshark hardly works!

Every successful system has been successfully hacked on a large scale. Even some of the lesser systems have suffered that fate.
